Full Moon In Capricorn

"At The Piano" by Whistler

How’s it been going since the July 1st eclipse? If we’re being totally honest, it’s been dicey. The wants and needs emphasized by the New Moon in Cancer were pinched by the Cardinal Square (read my post on the eclipse in Cancer if you’re not sure what I’m talking about).

But still. This solar eclipse was a chance to break away from the past (Cancer). And with the Full Moon in Capricorn on July 15th, we’ll see how that worked out. Every Full Moon is a culmination of what started on the previous New Moon. This Full Moon is no different but it’s significant because it follows the eclipse. Eclipses are so potent and far reaching that this Moon may only mark the conclusion of Part 1 of the journey.

What do we know about Cancer/Capricorn? They represent child/parent, mother/father, family/society, emotions/boundaries, nurturing/isolation, dependency/authority. These themes have been highlighted between July 1st and July 15th. This Full Moon will be a confirmation for some that they have been doing things correctly (Capricorn). For others, it will be a reality check if they have not taken responsibility (Capricorn) for their own needs (Cancer).

Another way to look at this cycle is a condensed journey from youth (Cancer) to age (Capricorn).  What was born at the New Moon has matured and now you’ll see if it has the legs to keep going.
