The next couple of days could be tricky for accomplishing things. Mars retrograde in Virgo (perfection-obsession, going back over the details) will be challenged in two ways; with an opposition from Mercury in Pisces and an inconjunct from Venus in Aries.
- Mercury (ruler of Virgo) in Pisces: this opposition takes whatever your Mars in Virgo fixation is and slides it out of focus. Or doubts start to creep in as soon as you take the initiative (Mars) to tie up loose ends.
- Venus in Aries (ruled by Mars): this inconjunct demands the impossible (as inconjuncts always do). You want (Venus) to be spontaneous which triggers guilt (Virgo) about not acting (Mars) more carefully (Virgo). Or you get trapped in an endless cycle of rehashing your actions (Mars retrograde) which triggers resentment (Venus) over your lack of freedom (Aries).
Fortunately, this is a short term influence. You may be feeling it already but it will be exact on February 23rd when Mercury, Venus and Mars are all at 17 degrees of their respective signs. The effects will diminish after this.
In the meantime, check out the areas of your chart where Virgo, Pisces and Aries are. The Virgo occupied house will have seen a lot of action over the past few weeks as Mars retrograde demanded that you fix, clean, improve or re-do. The influences over the next two days will make progress very difficult so don’t get discouraged. Try to find a balance between relentless focus (Virgo) and daydreams (Pisces). This is the time for “good enough” (instead of perfect). If you’re just not sure, put it off until the 24th if you can. Your focus will return. As for that inconjunct…the common theme is Mars/Aries so burn off that restless energy (guilt, frustration) by working as hard as you play and vice versa. You’ll be wanting to do something and you’ll be driven to do something; make both efforts worth your while.
And if things don’t work out exactly the way you planned, know that they were never going to during these influences. Sometimes you have to let things be.
Those with planets between 16 and 17 degrees Virgo, Aries and Pisces will be hit the hardest by these influences.
