These days it’s all about communication, choices and putting your desires into words. Gemini has been super energized with Venus retrograde, the Solar and Lunar Eclipses plus today’s momentous Sun/Venus meetup.
Much of this activity has been up-in-your head. Gemini thinks and talks a mile a minute, but sometimes the follow-up is missing. That will change on June 7th when Mercury moves out of Gemini and into emotional Cancer. Mercury speaks from the gut in this sign; words have instinctive juice and things can get messy. So all the rationalizing, fantasizing and analyzing from the past few weeks will hit you where it counts.
You’ll be expected to walk the talk. Or you’ll expect the same from someone else. Cancer is a Cardinal sign which means it wants to feel safe/satisfied/cuddled RIGHT NOW. The mood will be changeable and (in some cases) volatile as Mercury pings various planets. Here’s a rundown:
June 7th -8th: you’ll almost be able to hear someone else’s needs when Mercury trines psychic Neptune in Pisces (at 3 degrees). Instincts will be bang on. You’ll be feeling this if you have planets from 2-3 degrees Pisces or Cancer.
June 10th -11th : Mercury opposes Pluto in Capricorn and squares Uranus in Aries (at 8 degrees). Expect a revealing conversation where needs will be expressed but not completely satisfied. Shocks to the system with this one – not a good time to be needy. Take a step back if you find yourself bulldozing others (they’ll shut you down if you push too hard). On the other hand, feel free to state your boundaries if someone takes a run at you. Those with planets from 7-8 degrees Cancer, Aries or Capricorn will get the biggest punch.
June 11th -12th: all that Pluto/Uranus fuss will be followed by a soothing, healing trine to Chiron at 9 degrees Pisces. Say you’re sorry (apologies will be well received). Hear someone else out or just talk about how much it all hurts to someone you trust. You’ll be glad you did. Planets from 8-9 degrees Cancer or Pisces will feel this.
June 19th -20th: reality-check time as Saturn (at 22 degrees Libra) throws a square to Mercury. Are you sure that’s the appropriate thing to say? It’s not all about your feelings, ya know. Words will have consequences with this aspect so speak carefully. If you have planets from 21-22 degrees Libra or Cancer you’ll be strongly impacted.
Mercury will transit Cancer until June 25th.

Sounds a bit like my Gemini cousin and I other day, she was bulldozing, I was shutting down! Learning more about Geminis by having one in my life. Her birthday is June 7, so her solar return will have Merc in Cancer. Hmmm. Good. The astro is moving on, second half of the year, quite different to the first.
Jupiter retrograde in Gemini will be interesting.
