Mars heads into Scorpio on August 23rd. The first thing that comes to mind is… Sex? Revenge? Stalkers? Yeah, it’s an intense transit.
Mars ruled Scorpio before Pluto was discovered, so it’s powered up in this sign. If Mars in Aries is external exploration and the physical act of sex, Mars in Scorpio is internal exploration and the intimate side of sex. It’s energy that’s banked and strategically withheld. Aggression that’s tempered with strategy. The initiative to go as deep as possible.
Most people are familiar with Scorpio’s shadow side (revenge, manipulation, destruction). That’s because Scorpio is the Shadow. So how easy will it be to go off the deep end and try to get back at someone during this transit? But the darker the shadow, the brighter the light. And Scorpio’s higher expression will be amped up during this transit. Think transformation, healing and passionate intimacy. Efforts that are so determined you end up surpassing your limits (Scorpio hates limits).
To start things off right, Mars will trine Neptune at 1 degree Pisces from August 23rd to August 27th. This will take some of Scorpio’s edge off, and emphasize the deeply compassionate vibe. This would be an ideal time to initiate (Mars) a final goodbye with your enemies/frenemies/ex you hold a simmering grudge against. Or someone might do the same for you. Note, this only works if you truly want to let go; Scorpio does not look back or try to re-connect (unless it’s stuck in lower-Scorpio stalker mode). Then you can do this Mars through the rest of Scorpio with a clean slate and nothing holding you back.
The area of your chart with Scorpio is where you get fixated and angry, or get transformed and fearlessly empowered. Mars will be revving it up, so the choice is yours. Depending on what house Scorpio is in, you can:
- Push the limits of sex, intimacy, work, exercise, meditation, cooking…whatever area is appropriate. This transit is about going past whatever boundaries you have, to a healthy new place. BIG caveat here: if someone else is involved, they must be 100% agreeable. You want to empower, not take power away.
Mars will be in Scorpio until October 6th.
12th house

I will be doing a post on the NN’s transit of Scorpio. As for Mars into your 12th…you may not notice anything but rest assured things will be happening. It could impact you on a subconscious level (pay attention to intensified dreams/hunches). Anything private/secret/forbidden will be activated (this could include relationships).
My mars is conjunct Uranus in scorpio with unaspected mercury in Scorpio as well. Hopefully this will be an empowering time.

I got such a kick watching the trampoline event at the Olympics – so Scorpio like. With focus and flow, the deeper they plunged the higher they propelled themselves and then used the momentum to create poetry in motion. Mars will cruise over my Neptune, Mercury, Sun, Venus and MC in the 9th while trining Jupiter and Chiron in Pisces in the 1st. I can feel it coming already. Yesterday I re-started the biography book I’ve been putting off.

My natal Mars is in Scorpio Rx 6th House and will be in opposition to Jupiter, Mercury, & Venus over this transit. Just wondering if anyone else with natal Mars in Scorpio is feeling strung a little tight these days?
One reason for feeling high strung could be because Mars Rx is in your House that represents health. Mars Rx in 6th House Scorpio will have a deep psychological impact when it gets activated…

Of course those of us with neptune in scorpio generation are going to find it even more challenging as scorpio hates limits and neptune has no boundaries, now transit neptune also aspecting scorp for a while, and yep, imagine freefalling claustraphobics, its going to be an adventure, with mars, but then comes saturn….. gulp
oh yeah and my scorpio is 1st house, so i guess im angry at me…yep probably am hahaha!

Mars through 2nd House Scorpio will stir up anxieties/anger about security. It triggers survival and fight/flight responses. To answer your question on how to handle it…your first reaction will be instinctive, but it’s probably best to remind yourself that your survival is not actually being threatened (it will feel like it is, on a gut level). Focus on how you can manifest more security for yourself, rather than fighting external sources. Shadow side of Scorpio is anger/vengeance/paranoia, elevated side is healing.

Re-read this. Yes on the ‘goodbyes’ part. Wow. I was not sure what was going on w me. Now it’s clicking. And talking about angry at limits and building all sorts of dreams (escape dreams) in my mind. If it wasn’t for my CATS i might already have bailed from my current location…one way or another.
I’m kind of afraid of it all..

It’s the city, country & even the continent where i live since 10 years (and has the questionable honor to be born in)
Claustrophobic is not even a strong enough word for what TIGER roams in my chest these days…
It’s a terrible dilemma inside, cos leaving all that would mean leaving my mom, (alone, 85) to go some place ..well i honestly don’t know where i’d find some form of ‘security’ as in financial stability anywhere.
Self confidence as far as dealings with the world has been shot here. Cos unemployment and other major social flaws here.
So.. it’s stay here (and off myself/ go nuts or x, y, z soon cos 10 yrs is way over the limit already) or abandon my mom for the great unknown w no $$$ backup.

The dates for Mars trine Neptune were amazing. I asked my ex to give something to our grown sons at the start and by the end, he finally said no for no good reason. So easy to say goodbye. This Leo mom (Scorpio Rising) finally let go for good and saw him more clearly. Thank You Universe. I am not sure what the rest of the transit holds, but I definitely feel empowered. focused on my goals and moving forward in many areas.
