It’s Virgo empowerment time. The Sun in Virgo is forming a trine with hefty Pluto at 7 degrees Capricorn.
Anytime Pluto touches a planet, that planet’s energy is intensified. So what do we know about the Sun in Virgo? Precision, perfection, facts, discipline, service. Connected with the planet of power and transformation (in status oriented Capricorn), you get:
- Insanely focused efforts that reap significant results.
- Cutting to the quick of a situation, pinpointing the truth, and discarding everything else.
- Strategic service. This is not humble sacrifice, but working for someone to advance your agenda.
- Only accepting the best (from yourself and everyone else).
Yes, Pluto gives Virgo a galaxy class overhaul with his death and regeneration agenda. Forget about Virgo the Servant. This is Virgo the Reaper, efficiently selecting what works and tossing the rest aside.
If your birthday falls between Aug 22 – Aug 29th, you’ve got Pluto’s power behind you for your entire Solar Return year. Congrats. Use it to write your own ticket (you can). For everyone else, the houses in your chart that hold Capricorn and Virgo will be linked by this potent influence. What area of your life has Pluto been transforming? How can you use these changes to make something better/more precise/more effective? Answer these two questions and you’ve got a handle on this influence.
Those with planets between 0-7 degrees Virgo will gain the most from this influence. The trine will be exact on August 29th.

I have venus in Virgo at 9 degrees. It would be nice if that trine could somehow affect my venus (maybe money) positively:)
Your Venus is still pretty close. You should feel an effect; it’s difficult to draw a hard and fast line regarding these orbs, so the degrees that I quote in my posts are guidelines only.
Just wanted to say I love the picture you used, love your blog too of course, but that picture is just awesome!
Thanks. Alicepopkorn (the artist) is generous enough to allow her striking work to be shared.
Capricorn 12th house, virgo 8th house and Pluto in Scorpio!!
wat does all this mean!! it’s been such a horrid year so far! wen will it all get better!!
natal pluto at 6 virgo hmph, pluto trine pluto, just what I need, saturns been going through my 12th house libra all this time, for goodness sake may I have a bit of light now p l e a s e! Im sure im turning into a mushroom….
When Saturn crosses your AC you should notice a shift as things come out into the open.
thank you for your inspiration of hope, he’s just about conjunct now, so light at the end of the tunnel will e very welcome.
Love this article – thank you for the information. I have a Virgo stellium (including Sun conjunct Pluto) that was hammered by the transits of Pluto in Sagittarius, Uranus in Pisces, and Saturn in Virgo. It was long and difficult but I made it through. I learned a tremendous amount, especially regarding personal power. I can already feel the things you wrote about even though my stellium is in the mid to late degrees of Virgo.
The Virgo Power is helping… some down to Earth logic can’t hurt at this point!
wow.. Looks like i have Pluto 3° Virgo!
It is opposite my Pisces Moon by 1° too..
Let me guess… the powerful and the sensitive battling in me? (while the Saturn ‘blessing in disguise’ keeps both shut in in one room and the Libra Rising cries rivers over the dearth of Art, Music & Harmony in all this?)
I swear i’v been agonizing over a lot of stuff lately.. (damn if you do damn if you don’t type things..)
Or manifesting something real versus dreaming it…
I like that…
My Sun is at 9 deg Virgo. Pluto is forming a trine to my Sun. However, Chiron is also opposing my Sun. My Sun is natally isolated in the 12th. It has been a time like no other. I also have a stellium of Libra planets. The Uranus-Pluto square is opposing my Saturn, which is the beginning of the Stellium of Saturn, Jupiter, Moon, Venus, then Pluto.
After Saturn hitting everything. This Pluto trine has been a saving grace. But Chiron has truly been strong.
Great example of how Pluto can save the day…thank you for sharing.
