Yods In The Natal Chart

“Visuel de l’oeuvre Psychedelic Piece of Mind” by Peplinski

Excerpt from my latest Sasstrology article:

“There are many aspects in your chart that can make relationships difficult. But one of the most challenging has got to be the natal Yod (especially when it involves yourMoonVenus, or Seventh House of partnerships). Read on to find out what it is, if you have it, and how to handle it.”

My SO has a natal Yod with
Mars (Sag/12H :( ) at the apex, inconjunct
    Venus (Can/7H ouch) and
Saturn (Taurus/4-5H cusp double ouch, even by itself).

According to that intro of yours, Nadia, that’s like the worst yod possible!

Not sure what exactly it means in real terms, but thankfully the Yod has progressed into a grand trine.

    • Nadia says:

No, not the worst. I just used those examples in the intro to hi-light Yods that impact relationships. It is no better or worse than any other Yod.
His need for emotionally secure relationships (7H Cancer) is supported by tradition/limits (Saturn). But even if Saturn is on the cusp, it can only be in one house…the 4th or the 5th. Not both. So it will either be family traditions/limits (4th House) or limits on his personal goals/wanting children (5th House). All that security is funnelled into his drive for independence and exploration (Mars in Sag). BUT…Mars is tucked away in the 12th House so that drive will not be as obvious. It will transformed into the desire for spiritual freedom/faith. So he needs a secure relationship that builds his faith in the intangible.

I have 2 yods, one with saturn at the apex in 3rd, the 2 planets sextile are mars mid/late 1oth in leo and sun beg 9th cancer, the other is with jup conj IC at apex in aqua, with pluto late 10th early virgo and merc early 9th cancer in sextile, both have been very trying, but they seem to have worked together, as in i needed to work with the stress of the saturn apex yod to be able to work the jupiter apex yod. Is it obvious i am a spiritual philosopher and teacher of ancient wisdom since the age of 8, yep 8 was when teachers started questioning my parents as to what strange belief the family had of course they didnt understand it either lol, thus has been cast out by the draconian system at all unless i can prove myself to not be a delusional idiot? hmmmm, ya know they had me believing it for many years too! It seems many of us, were born with theforesight for the current times so we were never going to be ubderstood till now’ i can still hear my dad (saturn) WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE ARE ALL EQUAL, what a load of illogical rubbish… he has said a few things lately that even he at the ripe age of 80 cannot believe he is saying haha, sorry didnt intend to go on, but hey it may help someone else too :)

Since I’ve heard about yods, I’ve suspected I may have one or more in my chart. I’ve being doing some research, but have not yet grasped enough understanding to determine if I have one or not. Do you see any, Nadia? I was born at 6:23am in Chicago, on Nov 20, 1972. Many thanks for any insight you may have.

My sun sign is Aries, and I have a natal yod with:

    Venus (Aries/5h) at the apex
    Moon (Virgo/10h)
    Ascendant (Scorpio).

I’m 26, and have had nothing but a series of disastrous relationships that have all seemed to implode before they got off the ground. (Frequently this is because I travel a lot and was getting ready to leave the city/country in question when I met someone great, but not always.) I’ve tried to stay put a little longer and be more open to meeting people, but nothing seems to work.

I’ve just never had a good relationship or been even close to being in love, and I’m starting to feel like I should just quit while I’m ahead. My friendships, work, home life and hobbies tend to bring me a lot of joy, and it almost seems perverse to keep ruining my ability to appreciate all that good stuff with bad relationships :-/ Is there anything I can do in particular to work with these aspects, or should I just put things on hold until I’m a little older?
