As Mars continues his journey through Sagittarius, he’ll run into an interesting mix of influences. Which makes things interesting for you.
From October 10th to 14th, Mars will form a painful square with Chiron (The Wounded Healer) in Pisces. You’re feeling confident, maybe a bit frisky…and you get rejected. Or your first shot at something tanks. Or you trip and fall on your a**. Damn. That hurts.
Lucky for you, Mars will also be supported by a trine to bold, brassy Uranus in Aries (from October 11th to 15th). There’s your shot of courage, right where you need it. This means…
- If you get hurt/embarrassed (Chiron), pick yourself up and move forward (Uranus)
- If you get rejected (Chiron), come up with a different, unexpected angle (Uranus)
With Mars square Chiron, everything new will feel like a huge risk. There’s a very good chance you’ll have a sore spot exposed or end up looking foolish. But so what? Uranus in Aries is there to support you with innovation, inspiration and detachment. Uranus doesn’t give two hoots what anyone thinks. If you can tap into this energy, you’ll be able to detach (Uranus) from that painful moment. And maybe even spin it into something positive (when Mars and Uranus connect, the results are always unexpected).
The square between Mars and Chiron will be exact on October 14th at 5 degrees. The trine between Mars and Uranus will be exact on October 15th at 5 degrees. If you have planets between 2-5 degrees Sagittarius, Aries or Pisces you’ll feel these transits most strongly.

I dropped the very corner of a metal picture frame onto the cuticle of my second toe this morning–moving. Yowtch! It still hurts. I think this fits in well with Mars in Sag (clumsy) squaring Chiron in Pisces –feet.

ha, well I just experienced it! moved forward and revived, and when I feel like covering my eyes at the thought of the faux pas, i will keep tapping into that Uranian detachment!
