Overview
Mars, the planet of action, enters Sagittarius, the sign of adventure (from October 6th to November 16th). This is a high octane position that boosts confidence and the sense that anything is possible. Faith in your actions will carry you far with this combination, and it is an ideal influence to start anything that involves a certain amount of risk. However, October 7th can throw up a brief wobble as Neptune in Pisces hits Mars with an undermining square. Optimism can turn to delusion and risk taking is not recommended on this day, because miscalculations are a sure thing.
Aries:
As Mars (your ruler) enters your opportunities sector, you’ll get your second wind. Watch for exciting new developments involving long distance travel, education, publishing or legal matters. You’ll be fired up and have a fresh sense of purpose. But as you push forward, pay attention to initial developments and first steps. Mars’ brief square with Neptune can throw you off course with some misguided hopes or doubts. After October 7th, you’ll have a clearer sense about which opportunities are real and which fears are groundless.
Taurus:
Mars enters your sector of shared resources, and financial issues (taxes, debts, loans or your partner’s finances) could become urgent. You’ll have to take action, but try to hold off until after October 7th; Neptune’s square could make debts seem bigger/more severe than they really are, or, could have you in denial about how serious the situation is. You’ll get a clearer sense of where you stand after this date, and then an aggressive plan to pay it off or at least get it under control will be appropriate. Alternatively, intimacy could heat up, even if things start off on a confusing, are-we-friends-or-lovers note.
Gemini:
Mars enters your relationship sector as partnership issues surge ahead. A new relationship could start off with a bang and an existing one could mix passion with arguments about freedom, relationship beliefs and ideals. The brief square between Mars and Neptune can make initial motivations unclear/confusing, but this will quickly pass. If a new relationship (business or romantic)does begin on or just before Oct 7th, there is the risk that you may be under an illusion. Wait until after the 7th to see if your potential partner has staying power, or is even on the same page as you. There’s a risk of all talk with no follow through.
Cancer:
Mars in your sector of work, health and routine keeps you hopping. Duties/obligations will come at you, fast and furious. Fortunately, you’ll have energy to burn, and optimism too. The square between Neptune and Mars can briefly throw you off track with a sudden energy lag, loss of focus or loss of organization. Don’t panic if you feel overwhelmed. It will pass after the 7th and you’ll be able to power through with renewed determination (yes, you will be able to handle everything). The only caution with this influence is taking on too much and scattering your focus. It will be tempting to accept any and all tasks that come your way, but remember to pace yourself.
Leo:
Mars brings you a much needed boost with a spicy new romance or renewed surge of confidence. Suddenly, you’re feeling more magnetic, dynamic and ready to celebrate. A new attraction can be exciting, but wait until after the 7th to see if it will amount to anything more than a brief flirtation. Creative projects/personal goals can gather some serious speed; the theme is having faith in your talent and ability to keep pressing forward, even in the face of an initial rejection.
Virgo:
Mars enters your home and family sector, hi-lighting quick renovations/repairs, disagreements with family members or the acceleration of a home business. When it happens, it will hit suddenly, and this applies to accidents around the home as well. In order to keep some semblance of domestic order, focus on moving forward and try not to get wound up in who’s right or wrong. Neptune’s brief square can make it temporarily unclear about which is the best course of action, especially when dealing with a partner. Wait until after the 7th to start a renovation/project or dive into a family discussion.
Libra:
Mars enters your communications sector, juicing you up with optimistic plans and ideas. If you want to make yourself heard, this is one of the best influences, because Mars’ assertive energy will give you the confidence to push your case. People will pay attention when you speak it or write it, but you’ll be upbeat enough that you’ll sway them with your charm and enthusiasm. If you have an important discussion, try to schedule it after October 7th; Neptune’s confusing square to Mars can cause misunderstandings, no matter how carefully you phrase things. Likewise, if you receive an important message or piece of information on the 7th, wait for a couple of days before you act on it. What you initially hear may not be the whole truth.
Scorpio:
Saturn may have entered your sign, but you have Mars in your sector of earned income now to give you a boost. This is an excellent time to ask for more or charge more, because you’ll have the drive to earn your keep, and it will show. Mars’ initiative (combined with Saturn’s discipline in your sign) can make this a very fruitful time if you work the energies. And that means, literally, work. Whatever area Mars occupies benefits the most from action. However, if are planning on asking for a raise or setting your prices higher, wait until after the Mars/Neptune square on October 7th; its energy can cause miscalculations that will cost you later.
Sagittarius:
Mars in your sign gives you a sparkly, red boost, right when you need it. Confidence, optimism, energy to burn….all these will be yours for the duration of this transit. Just what you need if you want to get things done or move on from something unpleasant. October 7th may be a tricky day that needs to be navigated with care, as Neptune’s square throws up some confusing/depressing energy (especially involving family or situations based in the past). Fortunately, this one day transit is so brief that you’ll bounce back once it’s over , ready for the next challenge.
Capricorn:
This will be a quieter time for you as Mars enters your sector of secrets. You may feel like resting, withdrawing or keeping your next move to yourself. Energy moves in cycles, and this is a time to pull back and listen to your instincts rather than push ahead with traditional methods. This is not the best time to initiate major projects, especially on October 7th when Neptune’s square can make it difficult to sort out what’s real and what’s a product of your unacknowledged hopes or hidden dreams. Use this entire transit to ripen some creative or desirable potentials, but wait until November 16th, when Mars moves into your sign, to make an official launch.
Aquarius:
Mars adds zing to your social life, getting you out and about, exploring groups and associations. You’ll have more initiative to socialize than you’ve had in awhile, but watch that all that your excess energy doesn’t spill over into arguments with others. Disagreements over beliefs and ideals can flare up. October 7th can deliver mixed signals or inflated idealism/misplaced charity; wait until after this date to offer your assistance or commit to a group.
Pisces:
Mars enters your sector of career and status, boosting your ambition and competitiveness. If you need to go after a job or contract, or convince higher ups that you’ve got what it takes, this is the transit for you. This energy can also make you restless if you’ve been dissatisfied with your current career path. Use the extra drive to start scouting for different options (or one might come your way if you send out your intention to the Universe). Try to schedule all meetings/interviews after October 7th; Neptune in your sign can create a brief lag in confidence or blur your focus as it throws an undermining square to Mars.

Thanks!
Mmmm crossing my fingers for my Pi Moon..
Got wind of an ‘ongoing’ pool opening for a job i dreamed about.. but not too much stock in idea yet. Heard about it today. 7th… Don’t know if i got what it takes, but i owe it to myself to try. Self confidence is kind of my Achille’s heel since a few years. It’s gonna take all of the stars’ magic to make me ‘rise to the occasion’, namely, get an application file out. Haven’t applied for a job in a cpl years. Finally got it was worthless locally.
This thing i heard of today is not local; it’s back in CA.
Sure would make the whole difference.
I wonder if i can still shoot for the Stars and actually catch one…………
Saturn is leaving my Rising sign. Could things start moving again? I feel confused
Saturn moving off your rising sign will definitely shift that heavy energy, Cassidy. Why not apply? It certainly can’t hurt…
Yes, i will..even if it seems daunting! End of the month Saturn leaves my first house too, after passing right over my Neptune (02°) It would be so great ‘lighting up’ more!
Thank you for your feedback, Nadia. I appreciate it!
