How about something hot to balance out the chilly, Saturn in Scorpio transit? Mars (action and initiative) moves into spicy Sagittarius tonight. When the planet of initiative joins forces with the sign of adventure, you’ve got some excitement brewing.
Everybody likes Sagittarius. It represents idealism, optimism, exploration, anything new and different. The house in your chart with Sagittarius is the area where you can go far, literally and figuratively. Sagittarius always wants more. More ideas (it covers education and philosophy), more fun, more faith and more hope. It’s the original good time sign, with a strong appreciation of culture and wisdom for added dynamism.
Mars adds fuel to this fire. You get an increased tolerance for risk, a desire to start something new, an urge to go on a crusade. Sagittarius wants to ride in and make things better (because Sag knows best), and the intentions are usually good. But Shadow Sag is the Judge without a jury, the Crusader who forces his law on everyone else. Because he knows best. And of course, Crazy Shadow Sag does insanely risky stuff just for the giggles. Think Uranus with a infantile sense of humour. You see how this Mars/Sag thing can be fun, but has the potential to swerve out of control.
So the Sag area of your chart is about to get all hotted up. Start something, explore something, push some boundaries, take a risk. Find a cause that makes you passionate and get all over it. But don’t go crazy. Because the real trick with this mix is knowing when to back off. This includes guiding or teaching someone (Sag is the sign of the mentor). If you’re sharing your wisdom, do not force it down someone’s throat. Mars will make it seem like your mission, but missions can get out of hand.
And watch out for October 7th; Mars in Sag will be hit by a slippery square from Neptune in Pisces. On this day (and this day only…it’s a brief influence) ideals will turn into delusions, big promises will be suspect, and jumping without a parachute will seem like a splendid idea. Wait until October 8th before you move forward with your Big Idea.
Note to Sagittarians: your normally abundant energy will be at Supernova level. You’ll be aggressively optimistic and fiercely confident. If you focus this chutzpah in the right direction, you’ll achieve wonderful things. Just remember that this can be a tad…overwhelming…for other folks.
Mars will transit through Sagittarius from October 6th to November 16th.

This Mars transit hit my natal Sagittarius stellium in the 12 house (Neptune, Sun, Jupiter, Mercury, and Venus) and am speaking at three different conferences in the next month. Not very 12th house at all or so I think?
If you have all those planets in your 12th House, it will be activated. The energy needs to come out somehow, but since it’s the 12th House, you’re looking at where the energy is coming from, not where it’s going.
After the unpleasentness of Saturn in my sun sign Libra, I can’t wait for this Mars/ Sag transit. This will be transiting my first house and what is waiting for my gentleman caller in that part of my natal chart? Venus in Sag. I played it safe for several years, now I’m ready for taking a few risks and see what happens. I feel a bit protected from the learned lessons of Saturn, but does this transit in the first house need the element of caution? Going far, literately and figuratlivey ? I hope so.
You should always use a bit of caution with Mars/Sag. But in general, it sounds pretty positive for you. Enjoy!
Between this and Jupiter’s transit of my sun sign, it feels like i’ll be even more sick than usual about feeling stuck, but still stuck. Just when Saturn leaves my rising sign.. I feel everyone has a life but me. I’m on a shelf. I’m SO beyond sick of all this. Alas when you’ve been mired socially (no job) no matter how bright your spirit can be, you always end up..exactly in the same place. I guess no star in the world is going to change the situation around me, the ‘social problems’ that plague this location.
what a waste of my life……
But Mars’ transit could shake things up for you, Cassidy. True, you can’t change the situation around you, but no one ever can.
ps: jumping off a plane without the parachute does seem like a good idea indeed..maybe the only way anything will change at all for me. After some years, when all has dwindled to nothing..what else makes sense
Tomorrow always holds promise and, if nothing else, there’s value in learning that you can endure. Hang in there, Cassidy! It gets better.
The law of attraction says that we attract what belongs to us (good or bad). Transform your way of thinking at all times, find the abundance within yourself and it will manifest in the outside world. I believe you’re a Gemini, a sign of the mind, so you definitely can do it!
Proud of being a sag!!
You should be! There’s a lot to be proud of…
How exciting, so much going on Saturn is in my first return in Scorpio, my mars is in sagitarius/Uranus/Neptune second house, and Scorpio rising. I feel overstimulated, but so optimistic and welcoming of change. Thank you Nadia for the blog.
You’re welcome!
My twelve-year old daughter came in, cradling her favorite guinea pig, and looked over my shoulder as I read this post. “Hey! I’m A Sagittarius!” she crowed. Then she danced off to the kitchen and spilled half a carton of milk, and broke a glass trying to change the tablecloth while still holding the guinea pig. I see a lot of messes and accidents in our future for the next six weeks!
LOL! Love that.
Mercury, Mars, Saturn and my TN all went into my 5th house. What a roller coaster week! All Scorpio except the Sag. I am not complaining, that Saturn in Libra transit emotionally drained me. It was a Libra involved too.
Neptune in Pisces H9 but I honestly didn’t feel it, had a nice, calm, quiet day. It feels like much is changing this year (for the better) ….. Thanks for the post Nadia.
You’re welcome.
