Excerpt from my latest Sasstrology article:
“When inner needs (Moon) unite with outer focus (Sun), the result is an enviable core of assurance. The Sun/Moon person has no conflicts between their head and heart. On the other hand, too much of anything can create a whole new set of challenges. The unity of this aspect can cause difficulties, especially in relationships.”

Hubby has a tight Sun/Moon/Mercury conjunction in late degrees Aries…in the 7th house. He has a strong need for independence, but he also has a strong need to be in a partnership. I’d say he has a driving need to assert himself (and his wants) within the marriage. I always joke that as long as we’re doing what he wants to do, when he wants to do it, and who he wants to do it with, then he’s happy.
Thanks for sharing this…great example of how opposite energies “blend”.
But what if the Aries Moon (29 degrees in the fourth house) and the Taurus Sun (4 degrees in the fifth house) are that close of each other and in different signs and houses like in my birth chart? Always thought that they were conjuct that way…
If two planets are in different signs they are not conjunct. Doesn’t matter if they are only 1 degree apart. The idea behind a conjunction is that the planets share the same energy. They can’t do that if they are in different signs.
Thanks for clarifying this. I always wondered about the validity of out-of-sign conjunctions.
