What’s On The Menu For Scorpio Season

Yet another post about Scorpio. Lately, it’s been “Dark Scorpio this” and “Scary Scorpio that” and “Saturn in Scorpio freaks me out”. But it is Scorpio season, folks. The Sun transits this sign from October 22nd to November 21st, hi-lighting all the heavy stuff.  And there’s more, after the Sun leaves Scorpio. Why not dive in?

There’s so much action coming up that this post will be an introduction. I’ll write more detailed posts on each event before it happens. Briefly, here’s what you have to look forward to:

  • October 25th: Sun in Scorpio conjuncts Saturn, Mercury in Scorpio conjuncts the North Node
  • November 13th: New Moon eclipse at 21 degrees Scorpio
  • November 17th: Mercury retrograde (which starts on November 6th in Sagittarius), the North Node and the Sun align in Scorpio
  • November 21st to December 15th: Venus transits Scorpio
  • November 26th: Mercury goes direct and Venus conjuncts Saturn in Scorpio
  • December 7th: Mercury passes over the North Node in Scorpio for a third time

To avoid getting overwhelmed, it helps to remind yourself that Scorpio is about authenticity. That’s all there is to it. Yes, the stuff that gets stirred up can be disconcerting (the power plays and manipulations). People get tangled and distracted by the baroque Shadow Play. But the root of all this goes back to honesty. Scorpio wants you to confront your true motivations, fears, instincts and compulsions. Cut through the garbage and pinpoint where it comes from. The more honest you are, the better it will be for you. It won’t always be easy, but a guaranteed way to make it harder is with avoidance and artifice.

The house in your chart with Scorpio is the area where you’ll have to be brutally honest. And remember; it’s not Scorpio who’s frightening, it’s the stuff he forces you to confront.

Sixth house, so work and health issues?

  2. C-Lee says:

    ….oops, Mars.

  3. Christina says:

The 12th? What’s to be brutally honest about that dumping ground ? I suppose it’s time to clean out one’s life in preparation for transiting Saturn eventually crossing my ascendant

  4. Debbie says:

its the sign of my second house cusp, but scorpio starts at the 3rd degree of my 1st house, so i guess my values will be revealed through me being the real me? I hope so, cos that i am totally able to honestly do :)

    • Nadia says:

Yes, you look at cusp of whatever house is in the sign of Scorpio. So your identity will be impacted, but once Saturn moves into your 2nd House the changes to your identity will shift to how you handle your personal security. Each house builds on the one before it.

4th House? My progressed moon is there for another year also. Should I expect to move to a new place/ seriously rearrange or re-engage with my living space? That’s the feeling I get, but I know it runs deeper than that too, and its definitely hard to honestly face your deepest roots.. (how deep can they go!?)

    • Nadia says:

      Pretty deep. :)
Progressed Moon in the 4th can indicate a relocation, but you need to see if there are any transits backing this up. Sometimes the Prog Moon in the 4th refers to “nesting” instead.

  6. Lana says:

I have it nattily in mercury and mars, second and third house respectively.

  7. Jane Barnes says:

I think the Mercury retro date is the 6-7th of November.

  8. Ramona Guiboche says:

First the 11th house then halfway into the 12th at 16 Scorpio. Whats the focus?

  9. Corinna says:

Again Scorpio 4th house, Saturn transit, bottom of the chart. I feel like in the starting blocks to rise up again. Checking my foundations and then authentically live my life and express myself. No more family therapy. At 46 I feel more aware and stronger then at 16 to move up the chart. No doom and gloom with me, am I missing something here?

  10. Judith says:

My natal Sun is 26 degrees scorpio, and natal mercury 8 degrees scorpio all
in the 7th house. how intense should i expect this season of scorpio to be? what about saturn’s transit of scorpio ( natal saturn 20 degrees/8th house in saggitarius )? thank you for your wonderful insights!

  11. Novlady says:

My 7th house is intercepted by Scorpio. So, do I look at my 7th or 8th?

    • Nadia says:

Look at whatever house(s) Scorpio is in. Forget about the house that Scorpio traditionally rules, and focus on what house(s) the sign is in, in your chart.

      • Novlady says:

        Thanks, Nadia.

I noticed for the New Moon Eclipse date of Nov 13…in my natal chart with transits on astro.com…the Moon is 8 degrees Scorpio. Do I look to see what that degree aspects to my natal planets (within a 2 degree orb)? Or, do I look near 21 degrees?

        • Nadia says:

You look near 21 degrees Scorpio (to see if you have any natal or progressed planets near that degree). The eclipse will take place at 21 degrees Scorpio.

  12. Maya says:

My Moon is in Scorpio 5 degree in my 3rd house. The last time Saturn was going over my Moon, my father passed away and I got a divorce. I am unsure what to expect now…
