Excerpt from my latest Sasstrology post:

“The Moon you were born with “moves forward” (progresses) and goes through different phases, just like the Moon in the sky. At some point in your life, you will experience your very own New Moon, Full Moon, and all phases in between. Important events in your love life often coincide with the cycles of your Progressed Moon; knowing what phase you’re in (and what phase is approaching) can be a way to gain perspective on the ebb and flow of your relationships. Read on to find out how you can work with your Progressed Lunation Cycle.”

good and helpful information, but that Sasstrology chart link is way complicated and difficult to use. Do both links generate the same info? That was a little unclear. thanks!

    • Nadia says:

The first link generates a chart that shows your Progressed New Moon, at whatever date that occurred. It shows the start of your cycle. The 2nd link generates a chart that shows your Progressed Moon in it’s current phase (today). If the Sasstrology chart is too complicated, go to http://www.astro.com and generate a chart that shows your current progressed Sun and Moon (the option is called “Progressed Chart”) to see your current phase.

This is a bit in the learning curve area for me but I pulled the progressed moon chart and it shows my progressed moon and sun in the first house of Aries. Natal chart is in 12 house moon (aq) and 11 th house sun in Cap. I know you cannot see my chart but I just thought I would post this. Sorry, Not asking for a reading.

    Hi Nadia,

Thanks, this article came at just the right time. My first quarter moon will be exact in 2 months. Sun at 9 aries and moon at 9 cancer, so both being hit the pluto uranus square.

My new moon was at 0 aries in my 10th house – that was a few months after I began university. The actual month I began uni was when the progressed moon was crossing the MC. Astrology is so precise isn’t it!

The cresent phase occurred as I began my first professional exams. I then spent a few years doing a masters and travelling. I’ve been working too but my current contract is up in none other than march so I;m in the process of trying to secure THEE job for next march/april.

THe phases haven’t really applied to relationships for me yet, but maybe the upcoming 1st quarter will bring some action :-)

What is the significance of a progressed moon conjunct natal sun? Does this aspect function like a new moon also? I thought I had read that it does.

    • Nadia says:

It functions more like an achievement of something you need (depending on the house/sign), or at least the capability to get it. Evolving needs (Prog Moon) meet conscious will (natal Sun).
