Full Moon In Virgo: Hyper Improved

There’s a Full Moon at 7 degrees Virgo on February 25th, and it will be tense.  Jupiter in Gemini will be squaring this Moon exactly, and Jupiter always means “more”.

Full Moons are intense anyway, because they’re about culmination. Picture a buildup of energy that peaks in Virgo, the sign of perfection, details and getting it right. Now, imagine that energy pushed to its frenetic limits by Jupiter. This is FIX IT, times one thousand.

The mood will be high-strung. It will be tempting to go overboard with the worrying, the extreme purifying, the fixating on one, tiny detail. Gemini and Virgo are both ruled by Mercury (communication, information and intellect) so much of the action could involve conversations/emails. Or, it all might happen in your head.

Adding interest to the mix, Mercury will have gone retrograde (in Pisces) on February 23rd. I’ll write a post on this, but for now, know that this energy (combined with the Full Moon) will be about re-considering, correcting and going back to what was missed or put off.

How To Drive Everyone (Including Yourself) Crazy During This Full Moon:

  • Hammer away at one phrase that your boss/lover/friend/family. member/neighbourhood barista said 3 weeks ago. Confront them. What did they  mean by that?
  • Hammer away at yourself for a mistake/personal failing/missed deadline/weight gain. Go overboard attempting to correct things and apologize incessantly.
  • Make a tense relationship even more tense by harping on what’s wrong.

How To Tap Into The Healthiest Potential Of This Full Moon

  • Remind yourself that perfection is an illusion.
  • Tackle the disorganized mess/unpleasant task/duty that you’ve been putting off.
  • Help someone (but only if they want you to).
  • Push forward where you’ve been telling yourself that you’re not good enough or not ready.

Jupiter is the planet of optimism, and this energy can (if used correctly) empower you. But a square from Jupiter can distort perspective, so you’ll have to differentiate between improvement and obsession. Ask yourself if what you’re doing is making things easier, or more complicated. Your ultimate goal, on this Virgo Moon, is to simplify.

If you have planets/angles between 6-9 degrees Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius, you’ll feel these energies most strongly.

no please, no!!! i can’t take any more stress… no, no no… things are building up but cannot be solved in normal way…. no. jupiter 4 sagittatrius, uranus 8 sagittarius, 10th house. do venus at 4 pisces and mars at 12 pisces count or are they too far? jupiter is currently in my fourth but will be in 5th again soon. 4th vs. 10th has been a huge struggle for a long time. maybe since i was born. 10th wants to break free of the 4th but depends on 4th as well. this is the problem. i have nowhere to live, but where i live destroys me, especially in the 10th. and relationships as well.

  2. H. says:

    This sounds super ultra scary.
Natal 8 Virgo Saturn conjunct 11 Virgo North Node, in the 10th House.
Jupiter is going through my full 8th House.

Man, I’m so tired. The same themes, over and over and over…

  3. Roger says:

Wow, I have moon, venus, mercury in Gemini 5-9 degrees in 9th house, and Mars and Pluto at 8 degrees in 8th house. That’s five planets affected by this full moon! I have a long list of major to-do items that need to be done over the next month so I guess I’ll be feeling a lot of pressure to complete all of them, especially now that Saturn is retrograding and forcing me to complete them–or else. Jupiter transiting my packed 9th house and squaring my Mars and Pluto in 12th means…what? will the full moon on my mars and pluto illuminate a secret or something I’ve kept hidden?

  4. Mia says:

Oh yes, I am familiar with that obsessive kind of behavior as I grew up with a hyper-Virgo mother and was forced to internalize that (negative side) crap and live by it for so long. It’s been quite the journey to extricate myself from it, and the work continues. So, I see it like the additional light shed on the issue by means of the full moon will be another step toward liberation. Especially, since my AC is 6 Sag …
    Thanks for the heads-up :-)

  5. Tracie says:

Venus & Pluto both 8′ in Virgo 12th house which is opposite Chrion-10′, Moon-11′ & Jupiter-12 in Pisces 6th. I have Mars-8′ in Gemini 9th. I’m 1 degree away from my Chrion return also. Gad!

I do have so much to take care, fix, etc I just don’t know where to start sometimes. Physical & other “things”. I need to let go of expecting perfection & just DO.

    Thanks for the advice :)

  6. Christina says:

This full moon will be in my 10th house Virgo squaring Jupiter in the 7th. Maybe it has something to do with the job I lost last month and its time for the chickens to come home to roost – I was not told the truth about my position or its duration before I accepted it and moved across country. I would love to see my former bosses get their comeuppance. To add to all this, natally, Venus in Sag in the first house, 8 degrees.

  7. Siobhan says:

This Full Moon is on my natal Pluto in house 2. Opposite natal Jupiter in 8. Chiron return happening end of March. SN transiting my 10th house Sun. Heaviness is what I feel and maybe detachment. Probably Saturn going through 4th house, currently stationing on natal Neptune / PF conjunction.
Curious to see what this moon illuminates.

    • Nadia says:

Will impact your security issues…financial, sexual or emotional. Full Moon opposite natal Jupiter may be dramatic, but should be positive due to Jupiter’s influence.

  8. Nancy says:

this will be interesting. I always try to detach emotionally before every full moon – I have seen the drama up close and it really can drain you….so if I exit – stage right – from the drama queens it helps me cope. Also the stuff you mention, Nadia, has been stuff I have been working on anyway, so I’m glad to get a good heads up a good week in advance! (note to self; clean the house and get my tax stuff done!!!!). Very funny post too. This one point I must say I excel at: quote: “Hammer away at yourself for a mistake/personal failing/missed deadline/weight gain. Go overboard attempting to correct things and apologize incessantly.” (I don’t talk to anyone about it; this just runs in my head like a broken record). As always, spot on!

  9. sagrising says:

This full moon will be in my 9th house squaring jupiter in the 7th house. No planets are at the degrees and signs as above. I’m suppossed to leave to go on a long trip 4 days following this full moon. Could this indicate changes in my plans or will I be able to proceed as planned? This is a crucial trip, one I cannot miss!

  10. Debbie says:

Pluto at approx 6 virgo opposite chiron at 6 pisces, this cancerian sun will make sure she has a bottle of rescue remedy handy at all times plus a gag lol. theres a couple of nice trines happening, so not going to ruin it by opening my mouth till I know whats coming out of it lol!

    • Mary Hu says:

Hey! I have Pluto opposite Chiron in my natal chart as well (Pluto 25′ Virgo/Chiron 28′ Pisces). In addition to the ever-useful Rescue Remedy, may I suggest Beech (for times when no gag is handy) or Rock Water (for those times when the Inner Critic just won’t pipe down)…. they have saved my sanity many times! Wishing you peace at this full moon!

      • Debbie says:

Thank you for your suggestions Mary Hu., will definitely give them ago, essences always work better for me as just seem to react to any other sort of meds, much appreciated :)

  11. maria says:

well I don’t know when I am born…I am a Gemini…so how does tht affect me?

  12. Minerva says:

Nice. 7 degrees virgo is going to trine my AC exactly. Full moon in my 10th house, Sounds good :-)

  13. Ellen says:

I’m a sagittarius and very interested in all of this planetary action, in that I know it has a great impact on my life and how I live it. I’ve been sorta studying the signs, planets and houses for many years now and have a pretty good idea of what each mean and represent….but not fully. The aspects and how they relate to my chart still confuse the hell outta me. My life has always been a frikin mess and I know I could benefit greatly if I just knew how to put this all together. Someone please tell what I can do to learn more. I just wanna figure this out so that I too can learn how to overcome these obstacles tjat have been holding me back for the last 44 years.

    • Nadia says:

If you’re interested in putting it all together regarding your chart, you can either order a reading or take a beginner’s course in astrology.

  14. tori says:

“If you have planets/angles between 6-9 degrees Virgo, Pisces, Gemini or Sagittarius, you’ll feel these energies most strongly. ”

I’m new to this…are you talking the natal chart or transits?

  15. tori says:

I’m a Taurus sun, Virgo ASC (3 degrees)…obviously the full moon is in my first house, with Pisces in my 7th.

Gem is my 10th house and natally I have mars (9 degrees) and venus (5 degrees). Transiting Jup is there, too @ 7 degrees.

Pisces – 7th house, NN (10 degrees). Plus that stellium is transiting there (merc mars chiron, neptune sun) .

Sag in my fourth house – empty.

So I get that this full moon will have something to do with career and committed others. I guess I just want to know if it will be negative or positive…

    • Nadia says:

FM in your 1st House may impact your identity/reputation. Can’t say if it will be positive or negative without seeing your chart. Square to 10th House Mars/Venus will cause tension, but it could just push you to make changes (doesn’t have to be negative).

  16. Chiron Rising says:

This FM will be in my empty 5th house (VIR intercepted), opposing natal Moon @6PIS in my 11th (PIS intercepted). I am helplessly in love with someone who seems totally unavailable, and I have a feeling this is the time of finally letting it go. It breaks my heart.

    • Nadia says:

Sorry that you’re hurting. But if this FM does trigger a release, you’ll feel so much better (Jupiter is involved, so there’s positive potential).

      • Chiron Rising says:

        This is almost funny… :)
Full Moon in 5th house opposing natal Moon in 11th house. I confessed that I have deep feelings for him and he played the “but we’re best friends” card :) ) Interesting enough, the Full Moon highlighted his 11th house :)

  17. Lynn says:

Virgo full moon in 10th almost exactly square my Gemini 8th house Sun where transiting Jupiter is hovering…what to expect? (dives under cover already!)

    • Nadia says:

Full Moons should never be a complete surprise because they represent a culmination of energies from the past month. So..career/reputation…what’s been building there?
