Ok. Just one more post about Pisces. I had to write this, because on March 11th, there’s a New Moon at 21 degrees Pisces. But this will be as heavy as it gets (Mars exits Pisces and moves into Aries the very next day).
So. On March 11th we’ve got Neptune, Mercury retrograde, Chiron, Venus and Mars all surrounding this New Moon. What do you do on a New Moon? You start fresh, set intentions, move forward. But you have to do this in accordance with the sign the Moon is in. The Pisces area of your chart is jam-packed, so that’s where you’ll have a chance to start fresh. You’ll have all those other planets amplifying the energy, so this could be quite powerful.
Set your intentions in a way that blends with the Pisces vibe (keeping in mind that Mercury is still retrograde). Pisces favours creativity, healing, allowing people/opportunities in, surrender, faith, seeing what’s beyond your nose. This will be a fantastic Moon for artists (especially musicians) or anyone trying to get past writer’s block. If you’re struggling to heal (emotionally or physically) this Moon could offer a turning point.
Keep this in mind; with Pisces, you are simultaneously letting go while opening up.
Anyone with any planets (at any degree) of Pisces, Virgo, Sagittarius or Gemini will feel this energy most strongly.

Ahh yes! Opposing my pluto and squaring my Moon-from 11th to 5th and 9th! Feeling it building a little already…not to mention the line-up from 11th and into 12th of Pisces!! Ho hum!..:)
Oh, Nadia, this was the post I was hoping you would write! I find these lunations so puzzling. I thought that the last one, a direct hit on my Mars in the 5th, might bring something romantic into my life. But instead it seems it took my children away. My younger son left for a 3-week training in California, and now it appears he will be gone through May. Then last week my older son left on the day of the Full Moon, driving to Seattle 2,000 miles away where he will now make his home. The latter was in the works for a while, but still is a lot to take in all at once, and I have been left feeling very alone.
At first the Pisces stellium seemed to have little effect other than just making me dizzy, but now that everything is catching up with my Pisces sun & moon at 23º & 21º, things seem to be happening rather unpredictably. Last weekend (with Mars at 22ºon the cusp of my 7th) a long-time friend suggested that we should go on a real date. The Pisces New Moon will conjunct my moon in the 6th, almost on the cusp of the 7th, but also oppose my ascendant and Jupiter in Virgo. Everything you mentioned as New Moon intentions now seems plausible in my life: surrender (nothing left to lose?), release and/or healing with ex-boyfriend who is no longer with new girlfriend, or opportunities with the new romantic interest with whom I have a first date the weekend of March 15th.
Crazy times: so should my intentions just be to surrender to the wisdom of the universe? In any case, thank you for a great post!
You’re welcome, and yes, your intentions can be something along the lines of recognizing that the universe has your best interests in store. Having faith. That’s exciting about the date…enjoy!
thanks for this post. waiting to see how this stellium unfolds for me. pisces sun/moon/mercury + virgo asc.
can you please comment on the coming full moon in libra on the 27th. there is so much gloom and doom out there, and I know there must a more positive way to look at the difficult energy coming for the cardinal signs. thank you!
I will write about it closer to the date.
Thanks for this one Nadia! Yes, all the Pisces has been making me crazy; I do have a lot of Virgo. But this new moon also forms a grand trine with my ascendant at 23 Cancer and my Jupiter at 22 Scorpio. The moon will be in my 9th house.
I’ve been put into a difficult situation at work and have been doing my best to let go and trust the process. We have a big meeting on the 11th and I am hoping that something will come out of that, or shortly after. My MC at 5 Aries has recently been hit by Uranus which shook things up a lot! But now the Moon and Mars will be also be going there soon followed by the other planets. It’s definitely time for a (positive) change and I am getting impatient!
So I’m guessing my intention should be to let go of past expectations and let in what comes up next (Pisces), then afterward take the actions (Aries) necessary to move things forward.
Your intentions sound good. The Grand Trine that the NM will form in your chart sounds very, very positive…
Thanks Nadia, I am looking forward to it!
All the transits in Pisces has been absolutely amazing and healing for me. So much understanding and “enlightenment” of things, looks like this will continue.
This new moon will effect quite a bit. Pisces 6th with Chiron, Moon & Jupiter. Gemini 9th w/ Mars. Virgo 12th w/ Pluto & Venus but nothing in Sag 3rd.
This has been an interesting time.
Excellent. Thanks for sharing your positive experiences…
Nadia, all your Pisces posts have been helpful. I have a question though about composite charts — can new moons and full moons be applied to relationship charts. I’m in a platonic relationship with a lot of passion that seems poised to become romantic. The relationship has a stellium in Pisces — mercury, venus, mars, jupiter, and the sun. The sun is at 21 degrees Pisces but in opposition to Saturn. I’ve always interpreted this opposition to mean that the relationship could be made ‘real’ someday. And so I’m wondering if this new moon will have an impact on the relationship. If relationship charts have solar returns then the solar return for this relationship is technically March 12th, but there will still be a new moon in Pisces (Sun=21, Moon=27 degrees) in that chart. What does a new moon in Pisces mean in a relationship chart, if it is applicable? Thanks for your posts — they are terrific.
Yes, absolutely, New and Full Moons can impact composite charts. But beyond that, I can’t comment on your relationship chart without seeing it.
New moon will conjunct natal mercury 20 pisces in 9th house. Repeating important law exams starting the 12th march. Natal sun in the 9th too. I hope this new moon and mercury retro bodes well for me!:-)
Well, Mercury Rx is ideal for repeats, so we’ll see. Good luck!
im a cancer sun, sag rising, venus in gemini conjucting chiron in my 5th house and mercury in gemini… the past month has been exceptionally difficult and i am really looking forward to this new moon… i am hoping for the opportunity for healing between me and another i had a rift with a few weeks ago…
Try to focus on healing yourself and releasing pain/expectations. Difficult I know, especially when you want something to happen. But Pisces energy is not great for being attached to outcomes.
Interesting. My sun is also there – 11th house. What areas should I prepared to surrender to? I like the sound of that…
11th House=personal goals, social relationships (friends, groups) and reaching out to others. Also, hopes for the future (wishes).
This makes a grand trine with my Saturn (20 Cancer) and IC (20 Scorpio). That’s some deep healing and transformation.
Interestingly, this moon is in my husband’s 6th and is in my 7th. He’s been sick in a low-grade but still significant way for two years and we recently (finally) discovered why. He’s receiving treatment and getting well. His course of medication will be done just after this moon. I can see how his new start with his health (6th) will bring fresh energy to our relationship (my 7th). Our composite Jupiter is conjunct our composite descendant at 20 degrees of Pisces. Isn’t astrology grand?
Wonderful! Thanks for sharing this…always nice to read some upbeat stories about Pisces.
I respect that you don’t go into all the asteroids on here, but just felt to point out that asteroid Karma is Rx at 21 Virgo at this new moon, many folks may well find a complete turn around based on personal Karma, which is positive or negative depending on genuine personal intent (Saturn in Scorpio territory).
Now just putting in energy to figure what I am seeing with this line up, as I will have merc rx (conjunct natal Chiron) and Neptune in Pisces at end of 4th house, then
Chiron, Venus, Sun, Moon in Pisces and Mars, Uranus in Aries all in 5th house, I do feel a very childlike enchanted type feeling growing and I am a musician and a writer/inspirational public speaker, so assuming this may be the area stimulated although new man keeps coming to my mind and others have asked me if I have one, so maybe romance is possible with it being 5th house? now as much as I do love my creative flow, some romance would be really nice….
Thanks for the added info. Romance is possible with the 5th House, but it would have to be supported by other transits and progressions (to your Venus, 7th House, you Moon, Mars, etc.) Not all at the same time, I’m just giving examples…
ok, thanks for that, will reflect on chart, the sun is just moving out of sextile to my 7th house venus, so may leave a little gift lol
yep just checked and transit Venus thru 5th house Pisces will be sextile natal Venus in 7th house Taurus.
Progressed chart has Jupiter transiting progressed 7th house….I am going to dare to dream of a possible Prince Honourable lol, he’s got the whole lunar month to appear
Hey this kids gonna have an enchanting fantasy for a change he he! Will let you know if he materialises, no wait, you will probably hear me celebrating from there!
My natal moon is at 12deg Pisces, so therefore that stellium in Pisces along with that new moon are all influencing it.
Out of the blue today my boss phoned and said that due to circumstances to do with my divorce from my violent ex husband, they could no longer keep me on.
My main concern was about my current relationship which has had big issues of trust in the last week and how the transiting new moon conjunct my natal moon along with that stellium in Pisces would effect it???
Can’t say without seeing your chart…
1st house for me…supposed to reinvent myself I suppose.
Only if you want to…
I don’t. I like myself the way I am and reinvention is exhausting. I should know, I’ve done it two or three times now
Nadia, seems to me that mars in the 29th degree of Pisces is an important component of this new moon chart. The 29th degree adds such a “fateful feel” to this new moon chart and implications for endings. I’ve been checking online for interpretations and the bloggers seem to be avoiding any discussion of this key element of this new moon chart. In light of the powerful full moon coming up in a couple weeks, I’m wondering if there is some connection. Could you write about the deeper meaning of the 29th degree added to this confusing Pisces mix for this particular new moon? Thanks.
Will write a post on this later today…
This New Moon will trine the degrees of the Nov 2012 lunar eclipse (and my Uranus at 21 degrees Scorpio too). Is there any conclusion in sight concerning global matters?
I focus more on personal charts…
Hi, Nadia. Thank you for the post. I’m sun 22 degree Pisces and this new moon is in my 8th house, so many planets altogether. really wondering what it will bring to me..
This post tells you what each house stands for. Read the section on the 8th House as something there should apply to you (for this NM).
