How do you know when to give up? In Western society we're taught that if you really want something, you need to go after it no matter what. But what if you're not supposed to have "it"? The flip side of relentless pursuit is pouring all your energy into a goal that is wrong for you.
It comes down to choices and this is Mars in Gemini stuff (he'll be in this sign until August 3rd). Mars represents identity, drive, and how you pursue something or someone. Gemini is always torn between two options. Sometimes these options consist of "stop" or "go".
I think that everyone instinctively knows what direction they should go in. How many times have you heard someone say "I know I shouldn't be doing this but....." And then there's the people who go after what they want, no matter what others say, because they just know it's right for them. I'm talking about self destructive behavior versus following your destiny.
For those with Mars in mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, Pisces), it's going to be easier to make course adjustments if they find themselves on the wrong track. But it's also more difficult for them to stop waffling and just do it. Mars in the fixed signs (Leo, Scorpio, Taurus, Aquarius) gets stuck on an objective and will not back down, even if it's destructive. Mars in the cardinal signs (Libra, Aries, Cancer, Capricorn) gets stuck on winning, even if the prize is a dud.
Think about how you pursue goals. Are they the right ones for you? Are you able to even get started?
