Venus will spin out of Leo on August 21st with a gorgeously romantic opposition to Neptune. Here we have Prince Charming with a magnum of the finest champagne. Or a divine story/song/painting that will knock everyone's socks off. This aspect is coated with enough gold dust to choke a horse.
Venus enters Virgo on August 21st, pulling dreams down to earth for a closer look. Venus is, according to traditional astrology, fallen in this sign. She wants to keep things light and social but Virgo insists on picking apart each social interaction. Her natural flirtatiousness is curbed by the fear of saying the wrong thing.
But there's more to Virgo. This sign is associated with the Goddess of the Harvest (Ceres, Demeter, et al.) Harvesting crops involves selection and discrimination and this is where Virgo's true power lies. There's nothing like a scythe to cut through the crap.
Venus knows she deserves the best in Leo. Once she moves into Virgo, she'll apply this. Cool and self contained, she won't need applause. She'll be able to focus on the details and see if the romance or creative project that was born in Leo is really worth something. And if it is? She'll work her a** off to make it grow and flourish. Venus in Virgo understands that relationships, projects or anything that wants to see the light of day need more then just happy thoughts. Work is an expression of her love for a person or thing.
So if you've got something delicious happening, enjoy it. Just be prepared to put it to the test in a few days. The good news is it will be really difficult to go wrong because Venus will be joined by the Sun in a powerful Grand Earth Trine from August 23rd to August 31st. You'll have Venus and the Sun in Virgo hooked into Pluto in Capricorn (visible transformations) and Jupiter in Taurus (real abundance). Something you love (Sun/Venus) can grow (Jupiter in Taurus) with work (Capricorn) and realistic (Virgo) expectations.
Note that Jupiter (from August 30th) and Pluto will be retrograde. You'll have to guard against slipping into old habits or routines. This is a golden opportunity so don't get complacent.
