This Halloween the planets will be spinning some heavy magic. The Moon will be in ancestral Capricorn, totally appropriate when you think of Samhain (the Wiccan Sabbat observed on this date) as a festival to honour departed loved ones. The Moon will have passed over Pluto (transformation) in Capricorn the night before and this points to restructuring the past, digging up old family junk to move past stagnant conditioning, etc.
Well hooray, but where's the treats? Mercury and Venus in secretive Scorpio will be squaring elusive Neptune in Aquarius. If you're into dreamy romantic fixations and forbidden fantasies you're in luck. This aspect is as intensely deceptive as it gets. Fantastic for costumes, not so hot for genuine emotions.
People will want (Moon) things to be real (Capricorn). Scorpio will add that obsessive edge so there will be nothing lighthearted about these influences. But a square to Neptune guarantees that nothing will be as it seems.
Fortunately you're reading this blog post so you'll get some tips on how to deal. You know where I wrote about moving past old conditioning in the first paragraph? That's your key. Think about family stuff, legacies, old habits, rules and anything that you were told was "correct" as a kid. Consider how these rules are serving you now. If October 31st finds you doing something deceptive/deliberately confusing/sneaky or just plain creepy in order to wriggle past these rules, this is a clue that they need to be dismantled. And that's the magic right there. Transformation (Pluto/Scorpio) of existing realities (Capricorn) into something healthier so you don't have to pretend.
Then again, maybe all you'll want to do is dress up and eat candy.
