Confrontation Moon: The Full Moon In Libra

Painting by John Leon Gerome The Full Moon on March 27th will be a hot one. The Sun, Venus and Uranus will be united in aggressive Aries, demanding their independence. They'll be opposing the Moon in harmony loving Libra (at 6 degrees), who just wants everyone to be happy.

This energy says "relationship showdown." The clash between meeting your needs and meeting your partner's needs. Keep them happy, or make yourself happy? Stand up for yourself and rock the boat, or smooth the whole thing over? It will be very difficult to keep things smooth, because Full Moons represent a culmination or ending. So this will be a buildup of energy that results in a you-or-them scenario. Adding more fun to the mix, Mars in Aries will be hit with an angry , controlling square from Pluto at 11 degrees Capricorn. Ouch.

Expect some waves. There's no getting around it. But keep this in mind; what happens will be based on what's already been building up over the past month or so. If you think about it, you probably know what's coming. So consider the following:

  • If you're fighting for something, keep it clean. No manipulations/power plays (Pluto).
  • You may be forced to take a stand, whether you want to or not. Stand up for yourself, but keep the other person's point of view in mind (Libra is still part of the equation here).
  • If you force your will/agenda onto someone else, there's a good chance that you'll do serious damage to your relationship. Is it worth it? Defend, but don't attack.

Always keep these upcoming influences in perspective with what's actually happening in your life. If your relationship/marriage is fine, you may just experience a spot of tension during this Full Moon. Or, you may be confronted by an outside source who makes you aware of certain behavior. When the Libra/Aries axis is activated, someone can act as a mirror, showing you what you've been avoiding/denying.

Those with planets/angles between 5-11 degrees Libra, Aries, Capricorn or Cancer will feel this Moon most strongly.
