There's a Mars/Pluto opposition coming up (Mars in Cancer will oppose Pluto in Capricorn). Should you be worried?
I get this question a lot: should I be worried about this transit or that transit? It's true that Mars opposite Pluto pits aggression/initiative (Mars) against power (Pluto). This aspect can trigger power struggles (and possible violence). But I'm not going to tell you that you "should" be worried, because there is always some tension somewhere in the sky that's hitting your chart. I believe that if you focus obsessively on these transits, you overlook the positive energies that are also, always out there.
So I'll say this is a head's up. Be aware, but don't freak out about it. Mars in Cancer pushes for personal needs/security, while Pluto in Capricorn uses power/status to amputate or deny whatever is excessively dependent. So there's the heart of this aspect; if you demand too much emotional control, or barge in where you're not wanted, you might feel the kick of this opposition.
Mars is the activator, but Pluto is the bigger gun and will win (if there's a showdown). That means authority will probably have the upper hand over personal agendas. It's big guy (Pluto) versus little guy (Mars). Keep these themes in mind over the next few days, and apply where necessary. If you can't avoid a challenge, try to keep the anger/emotional reactions to a minimum. The more emotional fury you throw at Pluto, the more you'll get hurt.
This influence will peak on July 27th (at 9 degrees) but it will start to build from July 23rd. If you have planets/angles from 7-9 degrees Cancer, Capricorn, Libra or Aries, you may feel this one.
