May 28th sees Venus (love, money, values, self-esteem) enter solid, earthy Taurus. This happens a few hours after the New Moon in Gemini, and will act like a point of stabilization to the New Moon's unclear energy. See this week's horoscopes for how that might shake out for your sign (Sun or rising).
Venus is happy in Taurus, because she rules this sign. Taurus is about existing resources (financial and emotional) and transiting Venus helps you attract what you need to nurture them (in the Taurus-occupied house of your chart). In other words, this transit can help you to make the most of what you already have. And if you feel like you don't have enough, Venus can hi-light this as well, while triggering the urge to tend your garden.
This is not a transit that encourages risks or assertiveness (that was Venus in Aries). Now it's time to ground and centre. Focus on what you've got going for you, and how you can make it grow. Venus in Taurus attracts by making what she has as rich and inviting as possible. But she's not proud or flashy...she just is. Remember the Taurus keyword: routine. Not very sexy for Venus, but in this sign she thrives on routine. You can create some new rituals that make you feel beautiful. Yes, we all know that self-esteem is an inner quality, but Taurus says that it starts in the physical world. Make the changes out there, and see how it impacts you inside. Venus in Taurus needs to see, touch, taste and feel the beauty. BTW, she also encourages self-sufficiency because it all starts with you.
Settle, focus, bloom.
Venus will be making some important aspects while she's in Taurus, and I'll write about them closer to the dates. But here's a preview:
- June 4th: sextile Neptune at 7 degrees Pisces
- June 7th: inconjunct Mars at 11 degrees Libra
- June 8th: trine Pluto Rx at 12 degrees Capricorn
- June 13th: sextile Chiron at 17 degrees Pisces and opposes Saturn Rx at 17 degrees Scorpio
- June 18: sextile Jupiter at 23 degrees Cancer
Venus will be in Taurus until June 23rd.
