Venus entered Pisces today, and she's within orb of a square to Saturn (at 3 degrees Sag) exact on January 30th. I discussed this in the weekly horoscopes, but I wanted to say a bit more about this aspect.
I feel that it's particularly poignant. Venus square Saturn is never fun, but Venus in Pisces square Saturn can be an exquisitely sharp moment of disappointment. Venus in Pisces dreams are vulnerable. They are the most sensitive dreams out there, which is what makes them the most beautiful. Along comes Saturn, poking the soap bubble with his stick of reality. Even if it was just a fantasy, even if people say "It was never going to happen" it still hurts.
Mourning something that you never had can be just as painful as mourning something that you actually lost.
Not that this aspect guarantees you'll lose. It could just mean that you have to adjust your perception. Venus in Pisces can marinate herself in sacrifice, and when she hits Saturn, you feel like a victim. But are you really? This can be an isolating influence, where you withdraw because it's safer to be lonely. Sometimes it is safer, but sometimes that's the illusion.
Venus moves on to conjunct Neptune (at 6 degrees Pisces) from January 30th to February 1st. The Venus/Saturn disappointment leads to a release (Neptune) which could manifest as an ending, or a relief (when you realize that there's more to hope for). The order is important: Venus square Saturn first, then Venus conjunct Neptune. Limits, then expansion or dissolution. The Sun (at 12 degrees Aquarius) trines the Libra North Node (ruled by Venus), also on February 1st. Combined with the Venus/Neptune conjunction, whatever you're feeling/missing can move you forward. You've got the Venus/Neptune shot of creativity/acceptance, and then Aquarius clarity pointing you in the right direction (the transiting North Node marks what's meant to be developed). Whether you're inspired, or dealing with what you can't have (and maybe that's what inspires you) it's all pointing in the same direction.
0 to 7 degrees of the Mutable signs will be in the zone for Venus, Saturn and Neptune.
In the middle of all this, we have Mars conjunct Chiron (at 15 degrees Pisces) from January 28th to January 31st. No way around this one; it hurts. It hurts to take action, to confront, to get angry, to feel. But since the only way to work with Chiron is to reveal the wound, Mars is the guy for that job. Nothing stirs up the sore stuff like Mars, although this is all happening in Pisces, so actions/anger are likely to be unconscious or misdirected. Like stumbling into a drunken argument, and the pain that's been buried for years erupts. For those already marching to Chiron's beat, this aspect can trigger the urge to defend the weak.
Mars is sextiling Pluto (at 14 degrees Capricorn) on January 30th, which gives you some support. Focused power/intent (especially when the focus is about shaking yourself loose from restrictive structures) can keep your actions on track. You're less likely to hurt someone else (or yourself) by accident, if you're consciously working on getting yourself to a better place.
All in all, the next few days will be touchy. Be gentle on yourself and others. Protect yourself if you have to, but don't assume that you're the victim.
If you have natal/progressed angles, planets or Nodes from:
- 0 to 4 degrees of the Mutable signs, you'll feel the Venus/Saturn square
- 12 to 15 degrees Capricorn or Pisces, you'll feel the Mars/Pluto sextile
- 12 to 16 degrees of the Mutable signs, you'll feel the Mars/Chiron conjunction
- 11 to 13 degrees of the Air signs, you'll feel the Sun/North Node trine
- 3 to 7 degrees of the Mutable signs, you'll feel the Venus/Neptune conjunction
