A commenter asked about a continuing aspect between transiting Saturn and their Progressed Moon. This is known as Saturn chasing the Moon, or Moon chasing Saturn.
This event happens to everyone, at some point. The Progressed Moon aspects transiting Saturn for a few years (sometimes up to 5) over the span of two to three signs. This happens because the Moon and Saturn move at roughly the same speed. It can involve any aspect, challenging or harmonious, and will occur more than once in a lifetime (roughly, every 26 to 35 years, depending on the position of the Progressed Moon at birth).
For example, the first aspect might be Progressed Moon in Pisces inconjunct transiting Saturn in Libra, and then as the Progressed Moon moves into Aries, it continues to inconjunct transiting Saturn, which has moved into Scorpio. The next aspect (26 years later) would feature transiting Saturn in Libra, then Scorpio, then Sag, opposing the Progressed Moon in Aries, then Taurus, then Gemini.
If your Progressed Moon and transiting Saturn are dancing with harmonious aspects between them, lucky you. You have a nice streak of emotional stability and fortitude to look forward to. But if you get stuck with the hard aspects, it can be a long haul. Your evolving needs (Progressed Moon) are continually challenged and thwarted by Saturn.
To put it bluntly, this sucks.
Depending on your natal chart, you can experience this as a period of melancholy, a time of frustration, or flat -out depression. Transits hitting your chart at the same time will modify the impact, as will aspects that your Progressed Moon makes to your natal planets. If you're not conscious of what's going on, you may just feel a vague sense of needing something that you don't have. Then the question becomes...how do you get what you need?
Because anytime Saturn contacts the Moon, that's the issue: something is missing. And you'll have to find a way to provide it for yourself. Or, you'll have to adjust your needs. The signs and houses your Progressed Moon moves through are how/where your evolving needs are playing out. The signs and houses transiting Saturn moves through are how/where the limits and enforced focus come from. It's not comfy, but the lack of comfort is what forces you to change. Or mature. Or take better care of yourself.
So if you're currently in the grip of this influence...you're not alone. We all get to have an extended slow dance with Saturn.
