Mercury enters Pisces on March 12th, and from March 12th to March 16th, it will square Saturn in Sagittarius. I discuss that aspect here; despite Mercury in Pisces' rep for lack of clarity, Saturn will demand proof and focus.
But beyond the sobering confrontation with Saturn, Mercury in Pisces will be a time when facts are diffused with faith and creativity. Mercury is in its detriment and fall in this sign, which means it's bad for making cold, hard differentiations between fact and fantasy, necessity and nice-to-have. But this planet/sign combination is often seen in the charts of artists (especially singers) and counsellors. Words are elevated into something more than an expression of what you're thinking. They become inspiring conduits to a higher truth/power/possibility. Mercury is hugely empathetic in Pisces, and what is intuited can be more truthful than what's written in black and white. Or, what's intuited can be a half-baked truth, with the raw half oozing deception. Pisces is never cut and dried.
What you can count on is an increase in messages that make no logical sense. Think about that for a second. What does "sense" mean to you? Has logic helped or hindered you lately? This transit can open the doors of alternate perception, which may be just what you need. Or, you can lose essential focus. It all comes down to what's real for you, at this point in time.
Sometimes the truth is what's revealed when everything else has been burnt away. This is when Mercury in Pisces allows you to vault over the constrictions of logic, and glimpse the bigger picture.
This is not a long transit. Mercury will ingress Aries on March 30th. In the meantime, here are the aspects Mercury in Pisces will make:
- March 16th: square Saturn Rx at 4 degrees Sagittarius
- March 18th: conjunct Neptune at 8 degrees
- March 19th inconjunct North Node in Libra at 9 degrees
- March 21st: inconjunct Jupiter Rx at 13 degrees Leo
- March 22nd: sextile Pluto at 15 degrees Capricorn
- March 24th: conjunct Chiron at 18 degrees
