Tomorrow's lunar eclipse will resonate a bit further than other eclipses, because of the surrounding aspects. As I wrote in this post, it will ping the diminishing Uranus/Pluto square. The Sun will keep it going with a square to Pluto in Capricorn (at 15 degrees) on April 5th, and a conjunction to Uranus in Aries (at 16 degrees) on April 6th. Then Mercury picks up the baton, squaring Pluto on April 7th and conjuncting Uranus on April 8th.
These aspects are a package deal, all part of the eclipse's influence. Think of them as ripples from a stone that has been dropped in the water.
April 6th will be particularly notable all on its own. In addition to the Sun/Uranus conjunction, we have:
- Mercury in Aries trine Jupiter Rx in Leo (12 degrees)
- Mars in Taurus inconjunct Saturn Rx in Sagittarius (4 degrees)
Sun/Uranus is the shove forward, fuelled by clarity or harsh realizations. But any harshness should be mitigated by Mercury's trine to Jupiter. This trine suggests hopeful ideas or innovative messages, as Jupiter's confidence expands Mercury's vision (the Big Idea). This is the last aspect Jupiter will make before it stations direct on April 8th, so don't ignore it if there's something (involving the Leo area of your chart) that you're revising, or looking at more closely. Along with Sun/Uranus, you have the potential for a conversation/piece of information that opens new doors, even if the eclipse slammed one shut.
Keep in mind that Mercury will go on to square Pluto and conjunct Uranus, so it won't be all smiles and chuckles around that Big Idea. There may be pushback from others who feel threatened, or a surprise as you discover more (Jupiter) than you bargained for. Don't let that stop you, though. Keep talking/thinking/asking those questions.
Then there's the tricky Mars/Saturn inconjunct. Actions (Mars) may stall when confronted by rules/authority (Saturn). Especially actions in slow-moving Taurus. Or, goals (Saturn) may be undermined by stubborn actions. The key with any inconjunct is to moderate both sides. Don't stop moving, but don't do the "myopic Taurus advance:" head down and fixated, ignoring all externals. Lift your head and be prepared to alter your course. I don't think this will be a serious impediment, but it may slow the momentum of Sun/Uranus and Mercury/Jupiter.
Altogether, the eclipse and assorted other influences feel quite colourful. There's something for almost everyone, and room to move this way if that way is blocked.
If you have natal or progressed planets, angles or Nodes from:
- 11 to 17 degrees of the Fire signs, you'll feel Sun/Uranus and Mercury/Jupiter
- 15 to 17 degrees of the Cardinal signs, you'll feel Sun/Uranus
- 3 to 5 degrees Taurus, Sagittarius, Libra or Cancer, you'll feel Mars/Saturn (if you have anything in Libra or Cancer between these degrees, you'll have a temporary Yod in your chart...here's some info on this significant aspect)
