Venus enters Gemini on April 11th, adding variety and freshness to Venus themes (relationships, money, self-esteem and values). This is a superb transit for considering your options and keeping it light. What else is out there? Gemini is about new information and choices; sampling a little of this, and a little of that. Gemini learns by reaching out and interfacing with the immediate environment, so you can consider this transit a time of small explorations.
Having said this, Venus will run right into an opposition with Saturn Rx (at 4 degrees Sagittarius) from April 11th to April 15th. So the lightness won't set in until after the 15th. During this aspect, you may find that your options are immediately narrowed to one, obvious choice (Saturn is never subtle). Or, charming words may need to be backed up with proof. If something is denied, wait until the opposition is over (or just let it go). This is not the time to casually reach out and tickle your crush with a cute text or email. Saturn will turn the tickle into an annoying poke.
Saturn is retrograde (reversed) so the limits/rules that you encounter may be from a past situation. You may take another look at a romantic commitment, or assess if someone has the chops to commit to you. Finances may be restricted or delayed, until documents are signed.
Overall, this feels like receiving new input and getting focused right away. That's certainly not a bad thing, and it can keep you from wasting time in the long run. Check out this week's horoscopes to see how this opposition will impact your sign. You'll feel the opposition most strongly if you have anything from 0 to 5 degrees of the Mutable signs.
After the 15th, your choices should open up considerably. That doesn't mean anything will be guaranteed (especially with Venus' confusing square to Neptune on April 19th) but you'll have room to move.
Here are the aspects Venus in Gemini will make:
- April 15th: opposite Saturn Rx at 4 deg Sag
- April 19th: square Neptune (in Pisces) and trine the North Node (in Libra) at 9 deg (Neptune also inconjuncts the North Node)
- April 22nd: sextile Jupiter at 12 deg Leo (part of a Yod with Jupiter in Leo and Pluto as apex planet)
- April 24th: inconjunct Pluto Rx at 15 deg Capricorn (part of a Yod with Jupiter in Leo and Pluto as apex planet)
- April 26th: sextile Uranus at 17 deg Aries
- April 29th: square Chiron at 20 deg Pisces
- May 7th: enters Cancer
