As described in this week's horoscopes, the current rulers of the transiting Nodes are meeting up in Virgo. Venus (Libra North Node ruler) and Mars (Aries South Node ruler) conjoin on November 2nd. The actions (Mars) that you take to complete something (South Node) can orient you in the right direction...your future (North Node).
This will only happen if you work that Virgo energy; do it correctly, thoroughly, realistically. Take it step by step.
Venus/Mars will conjoin at 24 degrees Virgo in your chart, so if you have anything from 23 to 25 degrees of the Mutable signs, you're got a serious opportunity in front of you.
When Venus enters Libra, and crosses the North Node (at 0 degrees) on November 8th, that's the next stage of your Libra North Node journey. Watch for a significant meeting, interaction or attraction to tell you more about what's next. I'll write a separate post about Venus in Libra.
The Nodes Enter Virgo/Pisces
The above emphasis on the Libra/Aries Nodes is significant, because it will be your last chance to work with the transiting Nodes in these signs (for a few years). On November 11th, the North Node will move into Virgo, and the South Node will move into Pisces. I've written one post on this shift (from a relationship context), but in general, this Nodal transit will be about correction. It's going to become very Virgo over the next year and a bit (the Nodes will move into Leo/Aquarius on May 9th, 2017). Your path forward will be about correcting lies, illusions, escapist/victim behaviour, and erosion. These are all Pisces archetypes, and Pisces in your chart has something that you need to let go of, or complete. In some ways, Pisces lends itself to the South Node, because no sign lets go better than Pisces.
The trick will be replacing what you release, with something real. Pisces can get into an erosion loop, where everything continually dissolves. This transit will be about creating something concrete (Virgo is an Earth sign) and factual. Something you can point to and build on. Your natal rulers of the transiting Nodes will tell you more about what you're completing (natal Neptune) and what you need to focus on (natal Mercury).
If you're looking for motivation to work with that Virgo North Node, you're in luck.
This Nodal shift will coincide with a New Moon in Scorpio (which I'll write about) on November 11th. Virgo/Scorpio pair up nicely to introduce a new era of unfiltered truth. This will echo Mercury's Scorpio ingress and the Venus/Mars conjunction (in Virgo). On November 12th, transiting Mars in Virgo will pass over the North Node (just before his Libra ingress). Here you'll have targeted actions (or challenges) that efficiently nail those first flaws. And, you'll have momentum to clean up your act, get serious, get real.
Here are some keywords to get you started.
- From unfocused to focused
- From everything to specifics
- From no boundaries to precise boundaries
- From victim to healer
- From lost to found
- From fantasy to reality
This post may read like a condemnation of all things Pisces. It's not meant to be that, because the South Node is never "bad." Ultimately, the journey from the South to North Node is a transition. But these Nodal transits hi-light what needs to be released. Pisces can be beautifully empathetic, forgiving, romantic, creative, and seductive. Everyone loves Pisces, and Pisces loves the Universe, because the details don't matter. This energy is not to be discarded. But during this Nodal transit, it's time to find yourself a Virgo microscope, and focus, focus, focus.
