New Moon eclipse coming up on September 13th (at 20 degrees Virgo). It will oppose Chiron Rx (Wounded Healer) at 19 degrees Pisces, suggesting that this new chapter of improvement, correction or cleansing (Virgo themes) will zero in on a weakness or sensitivity (Chiron).
Chiron's wounds are never completely healed. You work with them by making them part of your life. The eclipse suggests a beginning that is based on this idea; take what's lacking/imperfect, where you feel vulnerable/exposed, and work with it. Alternatively, something about this new beginning may expose a weakness.
The eclipse will also inconjunct Uranus Rx (19 degrees Aries) suggesting the need for improvement will happen suddenly, like a sharp correction. And you'll need to adjust your methodology rather quickly. Think on your feet.
Note that the Jupiter/Neptune opposition is approaching culmination (exact on September 17th) and while it’s not aspecting the eclipse, the energies will be part of what happens. Think back to the August 29th Full Moon, which was aligned with the opposition. What came to light then may inform this eclipse, especially in matters concerning fact versus fiction, or practical applications of a dream. Jupiter in Virgo inflates details, and they may be the key to unlocking Neptune’s dreams. Or, there may be a misguided fixation. Either way, this eclipse will zero in on what’s bruised/exposed. Perhaps the imminent realization of a fantasy makes you anxious, or your unhealthy fantasy is the weak spot.
If you get something you want (but are crippled by fears) confront the fears. If an unhealthy fixation is exposed, look at why you need to control or analyze the issue. “Why” is what you should be focusing on. It’s a sign that something is missing in your life. Is there another way to fill that hole? One of Virgo’s archetypes is The Void; the black hole of Never Quite Good Enough or Worst Case Scenario. This eclipse could show you how to fill that void, and it will involve a degree of acceptance that certain things will never be perfect. And what if (gasp) you actually get your wish? Can you enjoy it in spite of the anxiety spike that’s a Virgo signature?
If you have natal or progressed planets, angles or Nodes from 18 to 21 degrees of the Mutable signs, or 19 to 20 degrees Aries, you’ll feel this eclipse most strongly.
BTW, this is a two-eclipse month (there’s a Full Moon eclipse on September 27th at 4 degrees Aries). I’ll write about that one in a week or so.
