With all the tension stirred up by the Cardinal Square it's easy to forget about the more positive aspects out there. Like Jupiter in Taurus. What exactly has Jupiter been up to? As the greater benefic, isn't it supposed to be protecting us from all the crap that's been raining down?
Right now the Cardinal Cross is the strongest influence out there. Four planets connected to each other will always trump one planet. But that doesn't mean that Jupiter's influence has been switched off. If you take a moment you may even detect its energy in your life.
Quick review. What does Jupiter in Taurus mean? More abundance, more security, more resources and more self esteem. If this seems laughable in the current climate remember that we tend to focus on the bad stuff, even when good stuff is happening. Right now Jupiter is forming a positive aspect (sextile) to Mars in Cancer. As aspects go this is the runt of the litter, functioning as a weak trine. Sextiles don't get a lot of respect because they don't slap you in the face like a square or opposition. You have to work to exploit the resources of a sextile.
But still. The aspect between Jupiter and Mars is there and will be exact on August 18th. The possibilities include optimistic (Jupiter) emotional initiative (Mars in Cancer) and the opportunity to heal. Cancer and Taurus are both security based signs so a connection here bodes well for re-building emotionally (Cancer) and financially (Taurus). The idea that there is opportunity in adversity is textbook Jupiter.
If Mars in Cancer has been a thorn in your side lately, have a look at what else has been happening. The Jupiter/Mars aspect is growing in strength as I type this. Is there someone who's been acting as your guardian angel/confidant/mentor? Do you have faith that you'll be ok, no matter what? Are there some opportunities that you haven't explored but might be worth a shot?
