Now that the transiting Nodes have moved into Libra/Aries, the general message is about balancing your efforts with others (North Node in Libra) rather than pushing to the head of the line (South Node in Aries).
The transiting South Node is ruled by Mars. Transiting Mars is currently in Libra. How do we interpret this? It’s not complicated. Just blend the meanings of the sign and planet, with an emphasis on Libran energy.
- cooperative (Libra) action (Mars)
- appropriate (Libra) assertiveness (Mars)
- balanced (Libra) independence (Mars)
Mars’ transit of Libra is the perfect opportunity to work with whatever the transiting North Node is opening up for you. Where the transiting North Node moves in your chart is an area that you need to explore, if you want to progress. Transiting Mars is an activator; it’s giving you an accelerated lesson in Libran dynamics. While Mars is Rx, you’ll experience the intensive portion of the lesson; evaluate your actions and consider the impact they have on others. That includes how you deal with delays, frustration and impatience (in the context of the house that Mars Rx is in).
Nothing brings out the Libran qualities of reflection, projection and objective awareness like hosting the ruler of its opposite sign.
If this is the theoretical portion of the lesson, the practical portion will occur when transiting Mars conjuncts the transiting North Node (on July 13th at 24 degrees). I’ll write more about that closer to the date. For now, know that the conjunction will be a crucial opportunity for you to make serious progress (in whatever area of your chart is activated). This will be the chance to do what you’re meant to do. Since the North Node is involved, it will be to your benefit.
