Mars enters Aries, the sign that he rules, on February 19th. In addition to playing an important part in today's New Moon, Mars in Aries is perfect for starting anything new, getting your mojo back, asserting yourself and generally pushing forward.
This is the action planet at full capacity. The warrior, primed and ready to go. He is the antidote to overanalyzing, because he's pure will. Nothing would get started without Mars in Aries. Mind you, this high-octane influence can also trigger anger and abrupt reactions. Mars in Aries is the poster child for "act first, deal with the consequences later." Fortunately, some of his edge will be taken off with the conjunction to Venus and trine to Saturn (click on the New Moon link to see what I'm talking about).
Aries in your chart is where you can start fresh, re-boot yourself, or go after what you want. There is nothing passive about this energy, so if you sit around and wait for something to happen, you're wasting it. If you're not sure what action to take, just start by doing something (nothing crazy or destructive, of course) that's related to the house Mars is moving through. Go for a run (or walk). Send out a resume. Initiate contact with someone. Move some furniture around. Just get moving. Even if you don't have a plan (Mars in Aries rarely does) shake things up and see what happens.
Here are the aspects Mars in Aries will make:
