Building on yesterday's New Moon post, the dance between Venus and Mars is significant.
When these two get together, it's hot. Sex (Mars) and love (Venus). What you want (Venus) and what you do to get it (Mars). "Hot" can apply to romance or any desired ambition (personal, professional). A unification of action and attraction spells opportunity, plus the fuel to make it happen.
Venus and Mars are in Pisces at the moment (at 21 and 25 degrees, respectively). Although they won't form an exact conjunction in this sign, from February 14 (just in time for Valentine's Day) to February 18th, they will come close enough that their energies start to blend. On the 18th (Mars' last day in Pisces) Venus will be at 27 degrees and Mars will be at 29 degrees. As they draw closer over the next few days, you may feel a heightened possibility/magnetism/ambition, in the Pisces area of your chart.
Pay attention to that.
Now, it's Pisces, so what's brewing may not manifest until Venus and Mars are both in Aries (February 20th). Up until then, there may be hints or a strengthening desire to make "it" happen, but not much else. Pisces dissolves as much as it promises, so there's no guarantee. But there will be inspiration, and if there was ever a time to follow through, it will be in this date range.
February 20th to 22nd (when Venus and Mars conjunct at 1 degree Aries) is when the fire will be lit. Aries is a fantastic sign for starting things, not only because it's the first sign, but because it's all about initiative. Mars is the ruler, so he'll be all systems go, and Venus will be there to receive his attentions.
And...even better...Venus and Mars will be trining Saturn (at 4 degrees Sag) from February 19th (for Mars) and 20th (for Venus and Mars) to February 24th (Venus/Saturn) and February 25th (Mars/Saturn). This is the ideal way to start off anything in Aries; this sign is great at beginnings, but can run out of steam half way through. The trine from Saturn will provide stability, commitment and an even flow of energy (Venus and Mars can become exhausted and sputter out in Aries, if they don't have a restraining influence). Again, no guarantees, but this bodes very nicely for long term developments.
So if you're looking to start something on this New Moon, focus on 29 degrees Aquarius/0 degrees Pisces for the initial kick off, and 22 to 29 degrees Pisces for the building event. 0 to 1 degrees Aries will be the match that lights the fuse, and 0 to 4 degrees Aries will be the foundations/plans. 4 degrees Sag (in your chart) is where the stabilizing influences will come from.
Venus is strong (exalted) in Pisces, so now is the time to focus on what you want. Set your intentions, even if they involve letting go of something painful or ugly. Mars is stronger in Aries, so that will be the time to act.
I'll write separate posts about Mars and Venus in Aries.
If you have natal or progressed planets/angles/Nodes from:
- 22 to 29 degrees of the Mutable signs, or 0 to 5 degrees of the Cardinal signs, you'll feel the Venus/Mars union most strongly
- 0 to 5 degrees of the Fire signs will benefit from the Saturn trine
