The March 20th New Moon eclipse (at 29 degrees Pisces) is extra potent, for a few reasons.
The Spring Equinox (the Sun's Aries ingress) occurs about an hour later, so we have the eclipse's new beginnings, made even more potent by the fact that it ushers in the rebirth of light and life. In the Wheel of the Year, the Spring Equinox is halfway between Yule (the longest night) and Midsummer (the longest day). There's a balance between day and night.
This eclipse is a balance between endings and beginnings. The beginnings are obvious. The endings are emphasized because the eclipse takes place in the last degree of the last sign of the zodiac. 29 degrees Pisces is concentrated dissolution; every invalid thing must be released to make room for Aries' new beginnings.
I feel that the events of this eclipse may be connected to February 18th's New Moon at 29 degrees Aquarius. There was a similar pattern: a New Moon in the final degree of a sign, followed by the Sun's ingress into the next sign (Pisces). Venus and Mars entered Aries a day or two after that New Moon, activating 0 degrees Aries (which is the degree of the Spring Equinox). This eclipse may be the continuation or intensification of what the Aquarius New Moon triggered. Perhaps that New Moon was a prologue, and this is the main event.
The mood of this eclipse starts with a release (and it may almost feel like a non- event) but it will quickly accelerate into something that takes on a life of its own. You go from passive release/renewal, to active initiation. Perhaps an ending, with an unexpected door opening.
But isn't this always the way, with all beginnings and endings? You can't start something without moving away from a previous state. And you cannot end something without starting a new chapter. Even if you're soaked in mourning for what's ended, and you aren't consciously starting something new, the very fact that X is no longer in your life means you are in a new chapter. March 20th will make this coexistence very apparent.
What do you want that new chapter to be like? To be honest, you don't have full control over events during eclipses. They're too big. But you can control how you react, and I believe you'll have a say in the quality of this new chapter. I would caution you to not take anything for granted. If something shuts down, keep your eyes open for the next chapter, starting almost immediately (with no recovery time). If you're fired up to launch something, make sure you've cleared away the old the stuff.
To help break it down for you:
- Pisces in your chart is where you'll be releasing and making room for something new
- Aries in chart is where you'll be accelerating what's new
If you have natal/progressed planets/angles/Nodes from 28 to 29 degrees of the Mutable signs, or 0 to 1 degrees of the Cardinal signs, you'll be in the zone for this eclipse.
