Pluto stations retrograde at 15 degrees Capricorn, on April 16th. As with all retrogrades, this will be an intensification of the planet's energy.
How can Pluto get any more intense? The reverse motion will focus Pluto's energy on a select area of your chart (15 to 12 degrees Capricorn). One issue/area will be revisited, one last time. Or, you'll be reconsidering a major transformation. Before you move forward, you'll be backing up and going deeper, underneath the rubble of whatever Pluto has already deconstructed. The result? You break through limits that have been tying you to an outdated situation, or preventing you from reaching your goals.
The outcome is all good, but the process may be uncomfortable. Pluto can be merciless at the best of times, as he rips away facades and demolishes excuses. Pluto Rx will be targeted evolution; watch for an old issue/relationship/power struggle to raise its head. If it's back in your life, you're meant to deal with it, once and for all. Pluto Rx will not allow avoidance. You'll be pushed to go right to the heart of the situation, and if the Shadow sits there, you'll have to confront it.
A few words on the Shadow and Pluto; as scary as this sounds, it's just the unpleasant side of yourself that's revealed in a challenging situation. It's what you do to avoid, manipulate or defend (usually in an unconscious manner). We all have a Shadow. You can't evolve until you confront your Shadow, and Pluto wants you to evolve. Pluto Rx is accelerated evolution, and that usually involves Shadow work. Hence the discomfort.
Curious about what your Shadow work consists of? Here's a Tarot post I wrote a while ago on targeted Shadow work.
The end result is breakthrough and empowerment. When a Pluto transit is embraced with courage and the willingness to just do the work that's required (no clinging to the past, or attempting to preserve something out of fear) it can lead to the true power that comes from knowing exactly who you are and what you need. Having said all this, getting to the end can range from uncomfortable to ugly to devastating.
What will Pluto Rx push you to release? There's always a metaphorical death.
If you have natal or progressed planets, angles or Nodes from 15 to 12 degrees of the Cardinal signs, you're in the zone for Pluto's Rx trek. Taurus and Virgo will experience this Rx with less intensity, as Pluto trines these signs. They may feel the empowerment, with less discomfort. But they'll still be pushed.
Pluto will station direct on September 25th at 12 degrees.
