The August 29th Full Moon (at 6 degrees Pisces) brings a wave of hope, as it conjuncts Neptune Rx (at 8 degrees) and opposes Jupiter in Virgo (at 3 degrees) conjunct the Sun.
Neptune and Jupiter are building to an opposition of their own, exact on September 17th, at 7 degrees. An opposition is an energy peak (a culmination) so this Moon will be intensified by two oppositions (Sun/Moon and Jupiter/Neptune). Neptune's fantasies will be challenged by Jupiter in Virgo's rush to fill in the blanks with information, or an explanation. But will that information be accurate, or distorted?
Whether that information is true or false, energy will be intensely idealistic. There will be certain standards to strive for. They may involve correct behaviour, or refinement, or cleansing, or social consciousness. But somehow, you'll glimpse an exalted image of what could be if things were just so. Neptune opens the door to transcendence, and Virgo's perfection is powered up by Jupiter.
This Full Moon may reveal something related to the upcoming Jupiter/Neptune opposition. Consider it a lead up to September 17th. It could be the moment where you see your ideals made real. Or, you could discover how to expand your message/voice so everyone hears it. Jupiter in Virgo will amplify the practical steps. But things could easily swing in the other direction, as Neptune's bubble is burst by Virgo's truth. Jupiter expands all things Virgo, and some of those things include the identification of flaws.
Think of this Moon as the peak of a wave. If you've positioned yourself correctly up to this point, you can ride that swell. But if you're not positioned just right, you could easily capsize. Ideals may supported or denied. What happens will depend on how grounded in reality they are.
Positive manifestations of this Moon:
- Empowered ideals
- Putting your dream into words
- Selling your truth to others
Challenging manifestations of this Moon:
- Blurring the truth and getting caught in a lie
- Missing a crucial detail while focusing on the dream
- Drowning in paranoia/amplified fears/problems that don't exist
The nice thing about this Moon is, you'll have an opportunity to make corrections (Virgo) and give it another shot on September 17th. The vibe won't be exactly the same; Saturn will be reentering Sag on this date (there will be an increased emphasis on rules in the Sag area of your chart) and Mercury in Libra will station Rx. I'll write about all this closer to the date. But, this will be another energy peak. Make sure you do it right (again, Virgo).
Also on August 29th, we have an exact inconjunct between Mars in Leo and Pluto Rx in Capricorn (at 13 degrees). Actions (Mars) will be intensified by the drive for, or challenge from, power (Pluto). The inconjunct is a tense aspect, so actions and power will be mismatched. Too much force may be applied, or efforts will be crushed under the weight of something stronger. The key will be moderation; do not push harder. Venus Rx (at 15 degrees) will be close to Mars, so add in the whole "reevaluation/going back over relationships" theme. I'll write a separate post about this (Venus and Mars will meet on September 1st).
...these planets will not be aspecting the Moon. I'm considering them a subplot in the main story. Mars/Venus Rx/Pluto may be felt as part of the events of this Full Moon, but they have their own story to tell.
You'll feel this Moon most strongly if you have natal/progressed planets, angles or Nodes from 3 to 8 degrees of the Mutable signs.
