Pluto stations direct in Capricorn on September 25th ( at 12 degrees). You may not feel this unless you have something from 11 to 13 degrees of the Cardinal or Earth signs. When Pluto changes direction, it's similar to a slow, seismic shift; profound, but not immediately apparent unless you're right on top of it.
Events since Pluto's last Rx station (April 16th, 2015) may progress, or conclude. As slow as this feels, it will definitely be forward movement. Pluto's churning up of the Capricorn area of your chart is a long process, even if specific events are dramatic. Read this post for some hints on how to work with this transit.
Pluto Rx is the time to go over what's been transformed. Push a bit harder to break through the barriers. Pluto direct is when you move forward and incorporate those changes into your life. While Pluto is in Capricorn, it stations Rx 15 times (not counting its Aquarius ingress, where it backs into Capricorn again, in 2023 and 2024). Picture a plow breaking the earth. Then, going back to ensure that every last weed has been tilled under, and all the fresh earth has been exposed. Then forward a more feet, breaking new ground. Then back. And so on. In the moment, it can be thankless work. But if you look back at how far you've come, the new landscape is dramatically different, and gratifying.
Pluto direct will happen on the same day as Mars in Virgo squares Saturn in Sag, at 0 degrees. As Saturn forces Mars to slow down and consider that one, very important detail, Pluto direct will start the ball rolling on the next level of bone-deep transformation. Mars/Saturn will be part of a brief T-square, as the Moon in Pisces opposes Mars and squares Saturn. There will be tension between the details (Virgo) versus the need to float above the details (Pisces) and embrace the dream. But Saturn will ensure that nothing is overlooked, as it compels you to stop in your tracks and consider what you're doing. In some cases, what you're doing may be wrong, or invalid. Or, you may just have to dig in and prove that you know what you're doing.
Remember that Mars and Pluto will hook up on October 15th. To me, this Saturn square/Pluto direct feels like an intro to that. Pluto direct is the start of the next phase, and Mars/Saturn is the pause to make sure you've got your sh*t together. If you really want to take advantage of Mars/Pluto, September 25th will be the time to start planning; figure out what's workable, and what needs to be dropped. Get everything humming like a well-oiled machine, all those Virgo details working together. Saturn can help Mars focus on the essentials, which is saying something, since Mars in Virgo is already hyper-focused.
