There's a major aspect coming up: Jupiter Rx in Virgo opposes Chiron in Pisces, at 20 degrees on February 23rd, 2016. Any time the planet of expansion and optimism (Jupiter) aspects the Wounded Healer, you get a mixed blessing. The more you expand, the greater the potential for pain and healing.
This is an on and off opposition that has three exact hits in Virgo/Pisces. The first opposition (at 17 degrees) featured Jupiter direct and Chiron Rx, on November 3rd, 2015. If you have anything in your chart from 17 to 20 degrees of the Mutable signs, the February opposition may stir something up for you from last November. The enthusiastic push for solutions/improvements (Jupiter in Virgo) is well-intentioned, but it's easy to pick away at the scab (Chiron) until it bleeds. Then again, more information means more ways to tackle a sensitive issue. Or, maybe the more you learn/say, the more vulnerable you feel.
Balance is needed. You can't ignore Chiron. The sensitive area must be confronted and acknowledged. Jupiter in Virgo is perfect for that. But the opportunities that Jupiter brings will trigger a vulnerability. And that's where you need to tread carefully. Too much Virgo fixin' can make a touchy situation worse.
The February opposition will be aligned with the North and South Nodes in Virgo/Pisces. Chiron will be hovering close to the Pisces South Node, but the two won't conjoin until March 24th, 2016 (at 21 degrees). Between now and March, there's a buildup of Chiron energy around the South Node. What's ready for completion/release may involve a painful goodbye, or an acceptance of what you've been avoiding. Jupiter is urging you to apply what you know (Virgo) to facilitate this, and then integrate Chiron's wounds into your path forward (North Node). This simply means moving ahead with your life, and your imperfections/fears/weaknesses. Chiron's wounds don't vanish. You weave them into your tapestry. Chiron becomes the sharp, silvery thread that stands out, but is still part of the weave.
You find a workaround, a support, or a way to live with what hurts. You get real about Chiron. Jupiter and the North Node can help you do this, and maybe even build on Chiron's energy. An example of this would be the doctor who has a special connection with his patients, because he has a chronic disease. He can empathize with them, so his healing reaches new levels.
An opposition is a culmination, and this one is especially strong because there's a Full Moon (at 3 degrees Virgo) on February 22nd. I'll write more about that in a separate post, but these two oppositions will work together.
The last Jupiter/Chiron opposition occurs on August 12th, 2016 at 24 degrees.
