I wrote about the Oct 11th, 2015 trine between Jupiter in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn here. It's happening again on March 16th, 2016, at 17 degrees.
Once again, there's opportunity for growth and enthusiastic (or fanatical) conviction about what's right. Facts and fixes (Virgo) will be given tremendous importance. Certain details will make or break a situation. Mercury (ruler of Virgo) will have opposed Jupiter and made a sextile to Pluto from Pisces on March 15th. This will add a sense of limitlessness (Pisces) to the words/ideas being pumped up by exaggerated beliefs (Jupiter). And intensified by persuasive conviction (Pluto).
It's shaping up to be an influence where information has the power to convince anyone of almost anything. Or, where improvements blow away all resistance.
But this trine will have limits placed on it, in the form of an applying square between Saturn (at 16 degrees Sagittarius) and Jupiter. The square will be exact on March 23rd (the day of the Full Moon eclipse in Libra), but it will certainly be applicable to the Jupiter/Pluto trine.
The key area will be 17 degrees Virgo. Something will be growing there, demanding that you speak, write or fix. The square from Saturn will force you to slow down and consider things carefully. Maybe reconsider. Rules, authority or responsibility will hinder expansion, while encouraging you to double check your assumptions. There may be doubts about what's right or true. And that's ok. The tension of the square will encourage you to be more selective about the facts. In some instances, the resistance it creates will push you to achieve something great. A trine can be taken for granted, but a trine with friction applied to it becomes a powerful outlet.
If you have anything from 16 to 18 degrees of the Mutable signs, you'll feel these influences most strongly.
