The August 7th Full Moon eclipse, at 15 degrees Aquarius, is a mix of energies. Some are smooth, some are not. In typical Aquarian style, the results could be unpredictable.
The Leo Sun conjoins Mars (at 11 degrees) and makes wide inconjuncts to Pluto Rx in Capricorn and Neptune Rx in Pisces. Fiery, proud, aggressive Mars/Sun inconjunct Pluto means striving for domination but not being fully conscious of this. Mars/Sun inconjunct Neptune means that fire and confidence could be undermined by doubts or confusion.
Mars/Sun is the focal point of a stretched out Yod - an awkward configuration that pours all its tension and energy into one spot. Handled poorly, the results could be panicky aggression/domination or misguided plays for attention. Handled well, Pluto's power and Neptune's awareness of higher issues (this is about more than winning) can be expressed through Mars/Sun with dignified, creative actions.
Mars/Sun opposes the Aquarian Moon, making it the other end of what becomes a Boomerang Yod. All the energy of the Mars/Sun focal point is released through Aquarius - creative actions/pride/dignified leadership are expressed to the public. Revolutionary changes (Aquarius) are achieved through passionate (Mars) expressions of power (Leo). What was subjective becomes objective, as you understand that your actions impact the group.
If the energy is mishandled, the results could be ferocious temper tantrums, diva meltdowns or public abuses of power that shock/disrupt everyone.
Jupiter in Libra will trine the Moon, which could help the social wheels glide or enable frightening behaviour. A nice trine from Jupiter can make anything easy, for better or worse. Jupiter is separating from the fanatical square with Pluto Rx, and this could amplify the tension of the Pluto inconjunct. Power plays could be loud and very, very dramatic.
Uranus (ruler of this Moon and the transiting South Node) will station Rx on August 3rd. This suggests intensified, precise liberation - focusing on the one thing that's holding you back. Deciding that you've had enough of certain group dynamics. The Sun is ruler of the transiting North Node. Getting noticed for something that is uniquely "you" and contributing your talents/power is what the Aquarian South Node to Leo North Node is about. This eclipse can facilitate that, if you're able to step back from ego issues and look at the social landscape.
How to handle this energy? Keep higher Leo in mind - pride, dignity, generosity. Keep higher Aquarius in mind - no judgements, chill, logical. The overall theme will be standing out and standing apart. The spotlight may illuminate someone on the edge, or show you what's really going on with the group (thereby pushing you away). Whatever happens, keep your eyes up, take the high road and don't get manipulated into a power battle.
This will be a culmination- an ending, result or energetic peak. Nothing's developed in a vacuum - it's been building for awhile.
