- Mercury Rx in Leo square Jupiter in Scorpio (14 deg)
- Pallas in Leo square Juno in Taurus (17 deg)
- July 9th: square Jupiter Rx (13 deg)
- August 28th: square Jupiter (16 deg)
There's an important message involving big words and ideas. Details (Mercury) are challenged by an ideal, hope or push for growth. Is the push too much for the details? Are the facts overwhelmed by enthusiasm?
This aspect is passionate and proud (Leo): there's something big to communicate. But the message must be considered carefully, which is exactly what the retrograde is about. Questions will be asked about the initial message from July 9th. It's time for a second look, although for some, it may also be time to shout louder. It all depends on what Mercury's retrograde has revealed thus far. The last square (on August 28th) will be final draft of this story.
Pallas/Juno continues the influences from August 9th. Here we have a relationship disagreement that is specifically about strategies. One partner may be quite conservative and dependable, while the other is more creative and dramatic (but less reliable). Consider which is more important - predictability or creative flare. Predictability can also indicate a rut, while that drama can become childish.
Pallas is named after the virgin warrior goddess Athena. In her book "Asteroid Goddesses", Demetra George describes Pallas sacrificing her feminine energy so she can be accepted amongst the Gods. Therefore, she is also about a woman's courage, achievements and sacrifices in a masculine environment. The square to Juno may indicate relationship tension due to gender and ambition. Pallas always has undertones of a battle plan. Does being in a partnership conflict with the drive to win? What happens when sexual expression has less importance than success? When Pallas squares the Juno, the wife (Juno) and the warrior maiden are in conflict.
Along with the eclipse, this looks like a day for big declrations and not much compromise.
